This video makes me want to go look at my frame. Wondering where that movement is coming from between the bed and cab.

Enough to make it a lot of fun!
Huh I didn't notice that when I first saw the video. That is some interesting moment between the bed and cab.

Considering where Ryan started to pull Brett out, is Brett's first go at the drift and where he stopped was 2-2.5 ft deep. I would say the do pretty darn good.

    I think that's pretty normal.
I learned at a very young age, riding around in pickup trucks, to never grab the bed behind the cab. Good way to crush your fingers.

Take a break from reading trip reports online and get out and enjoy it while you can. No telling what might happen to a lot of these roads with new regulations hitting the area. It's an awesome area to explore.

Yep I have decided to go full mall crawler. No I want them for the adjustability and my current UCAs are limiting my down travel.

Where are he new lint straps? You’ll bend the uca to spindle bolt without one. Ask me how I know.

His uniballs are maxed out though, so not sure it would bend the bolt. The misalignment spacer is up against the cup.

You can see in that picture the lower double shear brackets we welded in a while ago, need to see if he has the clearance for the clevis with the new wheel and tire setup.

Well I had to leave the mountains for the weekend to visit some family and friends. So on the way home I decided I didnt want to take my usual route home. So I ended up taking a pass I haven't driven in atleast 3 years, and also took a could dirt road just because I could. The pass was a little bit of a pain with the 35s and stock gears. I do have 4.88s sitting on my living room floor but still need a locker to go with them.

    20190512_183205.jpg

So this is on one of the dirt roads I took. This is looking into, to be honest, one of a most favorite areas of Colorado. Not many people know of this area but those that do understand its beauty.

Truck is looking a little naked as of right now.

    20190525_153405.jpg

I figured it is about time I clean up these sliders and other armor this summer.
    20190525_153436.jpg

I will also end up replacing a lot of the hardware for the sliders. I ended up breaking one bolt that goes into the fram and having to drill the other out. So I will end up drilling them out completely and put new carage bolts in their place and adding a 3rd bolt to the bottom.

Well I am finally finding time to strip the paint and rust off my sliders. I almost have one slider repainted. I ended up using a combination of paint/rust remover wheel, flap disk and a wire wheel to clean them up.

    20190607_170942.jpg

    20190607_174433.jpg

I also decided I was going to paint these the right way this time, primer then paint. Still need to clean the frame up a little and do the other slider. Oh and I have to buy some new hardware as well.
