Got out for 9 days of wheeling, camping and fishing. The last day I had to do camp site alignment.

Front cam was loose and moved the control arm in. Here is teaser of the trip.

Couple updates in the world of Night Eagle.

Got engaged about a month ago. So all truck mods have been put on hold to pay for a wedding. Not that there are any mods that I can think of to be done. :notsure: The best mod to happen to the truck is that it is officially 100% mine with no lein on it.

Also got started on an important project for the wedding.

This will be our get away vehicle for the wedding. So I need to get her back to her reliable state that she was in back when I was in high school. Motor and transmission will be getting pulled to have every gasket and seal replaced. This will hopefully take care of the many leaks the car has had for a long time. Then it will be taking care of some cosmetic things to make her look pretty again. Luckily parts for this car are pretty inexpensive.

Got the motor pulled out today. That was a little hard on my own. Now I need to pull the clutch to be able to put the motor on the engine stand i stole from @Squeaky Penguin .

Well I guess it is time to put the baby tires back on the truck. Also time to save up for a new set of 35s. The used tires lasted 2 seasons but they are shot.

Well it is winter, so time to fully dive into the bug. I got the motor pulled out a couple 3 weeks ago and then didn't have time to work on it till now. Unfortunately the fiance's got side swiped while down in denver. So need to get the bug driving in a week and a half so don't have to get a rental while her car gets repaired. So spent all day tearing into the motor and replace all gaskets I can get to with out cracking the case. So basically stripped everything off the block and spread a ton of degreaser on the motor. Started to reassemble the motor.

Well not a lot has happened this winter on the truck. Had to replace another CVJ iner cv boot. This go round I put an oem boot back on. I am starting to think the red boots don't hold up to the cold and large amounts of snow we get up here. Had to replace both boots in the first two years they have been on the truck. Oh and I also bought a new winch to replace my smitybuilt, that hasn't been on the truck for 2 years. So let me know if you are interested in the old winch. It has a brand new solenoid and controller.

Got the new tires on the truck today. First impressions are they look good and seem taller than the BFGs I had.

Truck gets a pretty wash Wednesday night and then Thursday she gets dropped off to get a full professional wash and detail, inside and out. This way I get a fresh start on keeping the truck clean.

Some new and exciting things are coming to the taco in the coming months. A select few people know what is happening but will leave it as a surprise but drop some hints as the events transpire.
