    Meh, Idk. I don't like mis matching lights... But we'll see how she blends in output/spread wise with the other bar.

    Added even more steekerz. Not really a fan of lots of decals, and did have even more that I tried out but ultimately took off as this was plenty as is. Mostly excited about these new gold leaf trd bedsides, to match my wheels. And I gotta say, it sure turned out sick AF!! Miss my az state logo decal next to em tho. Maybe I can get one custom made up and slap it next to em. Or somewhere's else. But where?

    Also got yet another replacement TRD chrome decal for a windshield banner(as my last one literally got toasted and turned black in the sun). Hopefully this one will be better quality. I can't seem to find the place where I bought my very first one. That one lasted for years! But I think this new one might be a tad too big now. Ha Was gonna do that one in gold too, but didn't want too much of that. I'll just trash this one if I don't like it. Maybe I'll get a smaller one in gold leaf for the windshield if that's the case, so it's not so overly distracting. Idk.

    More gold scs love. Decided to go out and watch the sun set, see if I could snag a few more good shots. Boy am I glad I did!!

    Just look at that shit!!

    Haha... But seriously! The sun just lights these suckers up in so many different ways, depending on the angle and whatnot, with our amazing Arizona sunsets out here. Mmmm Mm!

    Looks so damn good. I've debated a matte mark bronze bedside for a while.

    Interested to see what you do with the fender flares. My dad's '01 looks about the same.

    Was thinking about just sanding and taping them off for paint.

    Hey man, love the truck! Could you tell me about the light bar on your roof? Like size, brand, etc.? I looked through your thread but I didn't see it mentioned

    Its a clone of Vision X's older Evo Prime. 42". I cant seem to find any online any more. Its a (eBay/Amazons typical generic light bar titles)260w cree light bar with 26 10w led's.

    But, it's a bit of a custom install. Among having custom brackets, the way the bar mounts isnt like your typical bars.. It has mounts on the bottom side instead of the ends. But there are blank holes on the end caps(plugged with rubber inserts) and you can get bolts made for those holes by vision x. Or what I did(before I knew they had those bolts) is used a loooooong ass threaded rod, through the length of the bar. Theres an internal rod that is used for the mounts it comes with, and is hollow, allowing a threaded rod to be inserted from end cap to end cap. Then I put nuts on the ends. Sounds like a bad Jerry rigging when I try to explain it, but it was fairly simple. Otherwise those specially made bolts from vision x are like $24 iirc. That or I also thought about installing nutserts in the end caps too, if i get a replacement one. But I have other big plans for a different light setup on the roof. Gotta wait and see if it'll be doable first, if I ever get around to it. If not ill just stick with the same setup.. Nothing wrong with mine except a hazed lens and somewhat faded paint.

    Actually writing this I decided to look again, and just found and purchased one. But I'm not expecting it to be the correct light.. $40. And no description other than "universal", with one pic. Ha. So we shall see. The pic shows a smaller 20" version, but the title says 42" 26 led 260w. Figured what the hell, for $40 might as well see what i get! I'll just return it or put in a claim if its wrong.

    If you're still interested I can let ya know when the light arrives. And fill you in on the fine details if you really wanna go through with it. And a link to the $40 light!! But im not very optimistic. Lol. I paid $350 for my 42". And over the years ive seen them drop in price but still around $200. So I'll be expecting something entirely different than what the listing claimed. Ha.

    Okay sweet! the reason I ask is because I'm thinking about putting a crossbar on my roof, kinda right where the moon roof starts. I have some yakima mounts so I wanted to put them to use. Then after I've got that mounted ill put a light bar on the rack. and yours looks like the perfect size! But yea if you could let me know how your $40 one is when you get it that would be awesome!

    HOT DAMN!! Its the real deal! Haha.
    20180419_162700_HDR.jpg

    Its basically the same exact 42" i have, with a variation on the mounts, and that its an all spot bar(which I'm kinda bummed about as the combination optics on mine are perfect). But can't complain for forty bucks!

    I also decided to check out their other stuff for more possible gems. And found 20" versions as well as some pods(which I've been wanting to buy), all for hella cheap!!! So screw it, I went on a shopping spree. Before they realize they listed the prices wrong, that or before someone else snags em. Pretty much bought out his entire collection of these clones! Lol.. Figured I could sell some of them and make a lil profit. But I will be using a lot of them, sooner or later.

    Bought:
    1 more 42"- $39.99 (out of 3 available) { keeping the second 42" as a backup}
    4 20"- $29.99 ea (out of 4 available) {will sell these ones}
    4 5" 2-led pods- $14.99 ea (out of 5 available) {going on windshield pillars}

    I have too many light bars now, and don't know what to do with them. Lol. Actually I do have plans tho.. I have like, 6 more different lights sitting in my stash, on top of all these new ones. Ha. I really need to find someone to build my custom roof rack/light rack. So I can get most of those lights up top! And sell all the other ones I don't need, including ones that will be getting replaced with my new setup. If I ever get er done!

    Nick, @Dogs, I'll pm the link to that 42" I left for ya;)
    Plus, heres some pics on the mounting system. Lil different than the version i have. This one uses small shafts in that channel, for each mount. And does have the holes on the end caps in case you need to use those instead. But this version will be much easier and can just take any regular ol bolt and nut slid thru that hole and in the channel. On mine I couldnt do that because the entire channel had a complete rod through the entire length of it, and I couldnt remove it without disassembling the bar. Which is why i used the threaded rod. Ha.

    Anyways, let me know if/when your purchase goes thru, and how it turns out mounting it!!
    (Excuse the cat, he has to stick his nose into all my packages. Ha)

    Mmmm. Nothin like peeling off the protective lens film on a freshhh light bar! Patiently waiting for the darkness to come now. Gonna go test 'er out a lil. See how she performs with all spot optics, compared to my other one that was mostly flood, with a few spot. Suspect im gonna lose a lot of side and spread lighting. But not gonna complain.

    Can see how bad my other one was in the 2nd pic, where i was playing around with the idea of double stacking. Heh... Nope! Looks dumb. Lol.. Had planned on removing the lens and either polishing it or replacing it eventually, but $40 for a whole new light bar was a steal!! And probly cheaper than getting a new lens cut anyways. Ha.

    Nice. So if you end up needing to use the end caps for mounting and not the bottom mounts it comes with, they're a bit tricky to remove. Some of these style lights have a cutout in that channel, so that they can be removed if need be. But this one does not. So what i had to do, is remove the end cap on one side(left side, or opposite side of where the wire goes in) and slide them out. Was tricky getting the end cap back in tho because there's a rubber gasket that sits in tiny channels of the end cap, and the gasket didn't wanna seat back in easily. But I got it.

    Then I used some 8mm Allen bolts fed in from the inside, out, with nylocks on the outside. (Had to do it that way because you can't get a wrench in that channel, but you can with an Allen key.) With a rubber washer between my brackets to hold the bar in place from rotating up or down. (I'll Probly have to change the rubber washers tho. I tried that before and they got crushed and deteriorated. Probly use some of those star shaped lock washers again).

    Here's those bolts if you'd rather just purchase those. Not sure how they thread in to the bar tho. I guess put a nut inside. Because it's just a blank hole. Unless on the real vision x ones they might have something different inside with threads. Idk. But you should be able to install these(and maybe get a wrench or socket in there to tighten that nut) before installing the light bar on the truck and make it easier.

    Oh sweet! I'm gonna try to fab up a mount to go to my roof rack. I have some extra Yakima towers laying around for the cab of my truck, so I'm gonna try if I can get those to work with it. How is the wind noise with it?
