Oh yeah, I was gonna tell ya about that too. It whistles. But the door trim takes care of it with one strip. It's on a single channel on the underside, not the fins in back. Gonna get more trim in a little while here so I'll report back with pics on that for ya. Just got back from an offroad trip.

Went out for some offroad therapy today with a couple dudes from a local group. On the hunt for this abandoned mine that we managed to find. Sucker was deep!! Bummed we couldnt go in tho, was a straight vertical drop. Had a good time. I had to tow the ranger tho after we got back on the highway. His clutch fan went out.

He didnt get any of the good/gnarly shit we went thru. But oh well. She performed awesome tho. Just had to use the locker a couple times in some slippery rocks. Really impressed with the new suspension. Even better now that she's pretty much cycled in now.

Decided to tackle my ugly faded fender flares again. This time with bedliner... First toyed with the idea of just leaving em off. Can't decide if i like it better with/without!

Already bought the supplies tho so decided to go ahead and coat them and see. Besides, the paint underneath the flares isn't so good, so they're back on for now until it's time for a paint job. And when that does finally happen I may remove them again and put some bolts in those holes.. At least for now they're not as much of an eye sore. Just one step(first step) closer on my progress to clean up the exterior.

She needs a lotttttttttt of work tho. Ha. I'd like to por15 underneath, clean up wheel wells, cut up some new splash guards, bedliner the bed (and get rid of the plastic liner), and paint job of course.. No idea if I'll ever get around to actually doing all that tho.. Ha.

They are Rigid SR-Q Ambers, diffused. Seems they only have the pro versions now.. And I'll try and find some mounts similar to what I have if you want a more low profile look like mine. I have a hard time finding them. They were actually trunk/fender lip antenna mounts, with the top antenna base removed, using some different fasteners I picked up to make them work..

Just the (cheaper of the two) rustoleum spray cans. Turned out alright. Sprays on kinda blotchy but sets up fine after it dries. Wished I wouldve went with a simple matte black paint instead tho.. I almost got the more expensive "professional"(iirc) rustoleum bed liner, until I saw it comes out a bit on the lighter side, almost grey. But it did seem to have a less tacky finish to it. The cheaper version has tons of tackiness/grit to it, more than I liked. But oh well. Its 100x better than it was. And its nice and black, almost glossy too.

Picked this up yesterday. '03 cbr600rr. 31k on it but runs awesome. Hella quick... Yoshi, power commander, tail light flasher mod, $2800 in chrome.. And dude sold it for $2500. Pretty good deal I'd say! FINALLY get back to riding again. Been way too long!

Figured id share some more of the bike... Because its my other true passion/obsession besides the taco.. Got into sportbikes wayyy before I even got interested in trucks. Had a few in the past.. But finally got some extra funds coming in with the new job, and have been holding back on the taco mods so decided to start looking for another bike. Found this beauty right away and snagged it up!

But yeah... It's been wayyyy too long. 8 years or so iirc. Since ive been on a bike. Man have I missed riding.. Have had a couple cbr's in the past.. 94 and a 97. First bike before those was a 92 cb750 nighthawk.. This is the one ive always wanted to get tho. Other than a 954 which are hard to find anymore.. Really dig a lot of the older models though...

Got a few kinks to work out cosmetically. Along with some fresh rubber and fluids and she'll be golden! Plan to change a few things on it like the license plate position.. Different mirrors, red windscreen, grips, levers, lil bit of plastic work(shes been laid down lightly a couple times), additional red accents here and there... But even as is, so fuckin psyched to ride again! Took her out right away for a good spin today immediately after I got her legal. Ha.. Plan to ride her daily once she's had some tlc. Gotta get a newer helmet, and some gear too.

I know this tread is old but was wondering what material you used to custom make your light bar brackets? as well as if id be able to get my hands on the same light bar?

Hm well im not sure I'll be of much help.. I stopped at a local steel yard and they gave me some thick steel scraps. Cant remember how thick they are. But pretty darn thick.. My brother did all the welding and I grinded them to shape...

And those light bars are tricky to find. Got them on eBay. Theyre a really old design and hardly anyone sells them anymore. Especially at that price. Not sure why that seller offered them for basically free. If i remember to I'll do some looking and see if i can find one. But theyre generally around $200-$300 depending on the seller iirc.

Finally took a looksee on eBay and wasn't finding much. But if you Google 42" 260W cree led light bar you'll find some like on Alibaba(which I've never dealt with before). Good hunting. Just keep in mind(in case you haven't seen my "disclaimers" regarding the mounting for these types) that it will take some creative thinking and tinkering with additional hardware to mount these style lights via the end caps.. As they usually all come with only bottom feet mounting options (including varying versions/cutouts for those bottom mounts depending on the seller) instead of the traditional threaded nutserts in the end caps. However there are blank holes in the end caps and can be made to work. Just a pita. So it may be better to seek a better alternative albeit single row or traditional double rows.

So yeah, I just like to throw that out there often because I've hyped these up before, but don't want anyone to get any surprises when they attempt to install them.
