    whats a good camera to capture nice night shots? Like if I wanted to take a picture of the city from the top of a mountain etc...

    hmm, well Im not up to date on point and shoot cameras but if you look in the specs, look for manual mode. Canon, Nikon, Sony, Olympus, Pantex, etc are all good brands.

    any camera that has a manual mode where you can mess with the settings.

    idk what brand or model steveo has but i know its a dslr....myself i have a canon rebel xs nice camera for sure it get the job done

    I use a nikon d5100 with either an 18-55mm nikor lens or a 70-300 nikor lens. Nikon is an extremely solid brand

    clear DTRLs, AMO Buckshots, factory upgrades, lifted
    For digital (aka: DSLR) in order of features and price:

    Canon XS, Canon Ti1, Canon Ti2, Canon Ti3, Canon D60, Canon D7, Canon D5, Canon D1....D60+ models are usually more PRO oriented.

    and Nikon, though I don't use them so I don't know their consumer models.


    The only film model I have experience with is the Canon Rebel G, but it's a good SLR camera if you're interested in playing with film too.
