Eh... It will sell. I'm not in a big hurry to sell obviously or I would have pulled it and put it on ebay. But everything that you get for this price, you will never find another deal like this for a complete package. The only thing that I'm not selling are my tripods and slider.

So if anyone is interested in a mint condition, lightly used camera, with extra lenses, filters, and a quality bag that will hold everything for about the price of the body and lens then this is the deal. I won't go any lower on the price as noted in the first post as I'm already giving most of it away for that price.

But a DSLR camera is a fast depreciating item, as newer more-advanced cameras hit the market, and more people shy away from DSLR in favor of their iPhones. The lenses may hold their value better.

I suppose it depends on how much ability you want to have over your photos. An iPhone will work fine for "most" people if you're happy with a jpeg picture. Hell... we just got back from DC and I took all my pictures with the iPhone X just because....

1: This camera is for sale

2: I didn't want to take a chance of anything happening to it on the plane in my checked luggage (already carrying too much in carry on as it was).

There are even apps that will allow you to take RAW pictures with the iPhone but I've yet to come across an app that will surpass the capability of the DSLR. But you are correct... for 99% of the people out there, an iPhone will be just fine. It's the 1% that this (and cameras like it) are targeted for. There maybe an app out there that will allow you to take a bracketed 3, 5, or 7, HDR photo but I seriously doubt it will compare to a 24MP camera like this one. The only photos I take with this camera are in RAW format then develop them in Adobe Lightroom. So it all depends on how much control you want over your photos.

I actually hate to get rid of this camera in all honesty. Which is one reason I haven't really pushed it too much. But... I also hate for it to sit around for a month or two and me not using it when it should be used. I've just moved more into timelapse (which this camera does perfectly) and videography which this camera doesn't do as well.

Here is an unedited / undeveloped 8k timelapse downgraded to 4k taken with this camera right after I got my 3 axis gimbal. This was a test video I made right in front of my house.

You can do this with an iPhone but the quality of each individual picture (450 + pictures to be exact) wouldn't be the same considering each individual picture is a 24MP RAW photo as opposed to a 12MP jpeg that the iPhone takes.

 

One thing this camera can not do (not without lugging around a 3 axis gimbal). This camera also only takes 1080p video opposed to the camera I'm using here. Try holding this camera by hand and get video this smooth. Even an iPhone would struggle with the amount of handheld shake and people bumping into me.


I was just lucky and knew where to stand during the inspection at Arlington.

I bought this exact body for "my wife" three years ago. I paid way more than what the OP is asking and I can say with out a doubt- this is on the list of top 10 things in our household we cannot live without. Absolutely amazing camera and neither one of us are anything more than recreational camera users. Some much potential with this setup. GLWS. Smokin' deal right here.
