Yeah! Idk if it's true bump steer, but the wheel turns on the dirt road I drive on every day when I hit dips and bumps. It improved a lot when I had the caster increased to above 3. Maybe it's not bump steer but something else?

    @MY50cal the axles are in!

Let me know when you are free next!

    I'll bring food and beer!

Well after a battle getting the old CV's out, the new CVJ axles are in! I opted for silicone high angle inner boots with neoprene outer boots

Big thanks to @MY50cal and the random slide hammer we used. Prying didn't work for my truck for many reasons haha.

This writeup was super helpful for me:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...e-replace-front-wheel-bearing-2nd-gen.189356/

    Now, onto the pics:

    Torn boot, goop city

How the rebuilt axles come from CVJ

Mojo holding one of the gems!

    Installed:

So the new outer tie rod boot wasn't split, just extra grease splooged out.

Also I hit 190k! I drive this way too much. I need a daily haha

    Rhino Rack kayak holders on!

    IMG_2639.jpg

I offset them so I could still lay one kayak flat so I could maintain bedspace and not do this anymore

I'm the opposite. Moved back to road cycling after numerous mountain bike injuries.
Torn ACL/MCL at Moab-UT, fractured clavicle at Silver Mtn-ID, concussion at Whistler-BC among others.

Got the loghtbar mounted and wired until I ran the wiring through the firewall. The harness I bought came apart, then I accidentally pulled apart my bumper lightbar harness. Now I am sans lightbar lol
