2007 forester! I bought it from my friend before he moved to CO. I knew it's service history since he bought it, and it's been a great little daily.

I decided it'd be cheaper to rebuild my Thule T2, than attempt to sell it for parts and buy something new.

It’s attached to my Fozzie so I’ll post the pics in here:

Why I needed to rebuild it:

Had to swap the plastic bearing pins

Drilled new holes in the hitch adapter to move the rack forward 2”

    Blue loctite on everything

Painted everything while I was at it

All done! Just waiting on the new wheel strap assemblies to arrive

The car definitely floated more while turning but I attribute that to air pressures, too. I was surprised the stock crossbars did so well. Matter of fact we are going camping again this weekend and I just left the tent on the car for the week

New front cat to take care of the P0420 code :rasta:

    2D4C260C-5B27-49C7-AD39-6AE66C499F23.jpg

Now I can finally get this thing inspected

Also, this thing ran like crap when I bought it, but with a little TLC and parts thrown at it it’s running stronger than ever. With better MPGs as well!

That was CHEAP!!! An OE cat would have cost you $1025.10-1621.77 depending if your car is Cal emissions or not.

Make sure you're running the OE NGK Plugs. That makes a big difference too. 22401AA65A (NGK FR5AP-11)

I'll check, I don't remember what plugs i'm running lol

And I know it's cheap AF! those guys are great! Terrible customer interactions (grumpy old dudes) but they are cheap af so IDC

for $223.61 they removed my headers, cut the old cat out, welded a new one in, and re installed the headers.

Whenever I finally get my tacoma re route done I'm going there, it'll cost me like 50 bucks haha
