inner and outer tie rods weren't bad, but swapping a rack looks like a pain. I know i'll have to do mine eventually lol.

I know I need a special tool for the inner. Eventually is the key word. Need to delay as long as possible lol

haha @MY50cal had this awesome tool for it. It took like no effort to replace mine. Also I think big ass channel locks work

A bottle jack has it’s place and is a great tool, but no replacemt for a hi lift, and a 60” at that. I’ve been in a couple scenarios now where I had to use a hi lift and a bottle jack just wouldn’t have worked.

Here’s another one, where we had to lift my front passenger side to stack rocks under it.

Had a question.. how much height do the stock bed rails add to the bed. I thought it was 1" ?

No way. Less than that. Like 5/8 at the most.

ok thats definitely good. So if they were removed, then sealed and touched up, and then KB Voodoo flat rails added, my bed rack could still work? :fingerscrossed:

Like those plastic things on top of the bedsides? Yeah like Craig said, not much at all. I would’ve guessed like 3/8”.

I’m going to be making my own version of kbvoodoo bedside topper things since I have a visible line in the plastic where I made the cut for my bobbed bed. Picked up a sheet of 1/8” steel the other day, now just need to make them.

Sorry Joel for the thread jack.

Like @HomerTaco said it will. Unless your bed rack is slotted for a shorter bedside stack you might have to drill new holes.

I almost made my own out of aluminum a while ago when I could run the waterjet that I had access to. Lost the DXF's for them and i'm not in any rush because my own testing, but I will definitely do this one day.

Also not a thread jack no worries lol
