The truck is great, and I'd keep it forever but this opportunity came up and it's HARD to resist.

We'll see if it happens. I'm not looking for a major project at this point with dad life taking most of my time, but something that's better suited to a stroller in the back then my dirty and muddy bed lol

haha maybe I’ll end up with a 2024…..

but for right now I think an SUV (with a solid front axle) is better for having a baby.

Oh, I def get it, just giving you gruff. I had my eyes on a 100 Series I thought of trading my truck in for a while back, and was very close to making the jump.

I’m sad as this truck served me well, and honestly would go for another 230k miles I’m sure, but I just don’t use it enough to justify owning vs something like an SUV.

plus a solid front axle lol

 

Well I still have the Taco.

the LX450 owner didn’t disclose how rough it was. I diagnosed:


Oil leaks:
Valve cover
Oil pump
Distributor
Possibly front main

Low coolant level

I did a combustion leak test which seemed to pass



Codes:
P0115
P0335
P0340
P0385
P0401

Then the known issues like the EGR and ABS

Random cut wires


Random cable on front driveshaft


The owner said he did an oil change a week ago and didn’t see any oil…..












It was sick but BEAT.



no shots of the interior, but it was filled with crap. Like disgusting, cigarette holes, cracked dash, and the odometer was rolled back….

 

But it has rust protection

glad you avoided it though

 

The old rust keeps all the new, scary rust at bay!

 

Why can't people just be honest in this day and age...

He contacted me recently and claimed to have fixed everything.
