So whats the possible deal to make this trade happen. Im not a spesh fan, but dammit you already had a tr450. Any others you might be able to negotiate on? The best thing I did prior to entering the truck mod world was having my fleet of bikes already. Sure you cant just keep the SS as well?

I had a tr500! and it's up to the guy lol. tr450 guy wants to throw on an old boxxer and not the fox 40 so i'm not stoked on that deal. The demo 8 has a new boxxer and i9 hubs so i'm about that life lol. I've had 2 demos before they aren't the most fun bike but they work haha

Hmmm how old is the boxxer for the 450? Ah that's right, but hey a transition is still a transition...I got the smuggler 29er and that thing is fun to ride. I have tried about 8 different used fox 40's and none of them felt great at all so to me I would take a boxxer any day over one, but I don't really care for fox suspension in the bike world. That said, my dorado keeps me pretty spoiled. Are you paying for it outright or is it a trade for a trade?

trade outright! and I know this may sound dumb, but i've never tried a 40. I've fully rebuilt enough boxxers in my life that I know how to keep them mint haha. the one he wants is a 2012 at newest and has gross white stanchions, and i'm vein when it comes to bikes.

Btw, i agree i'm not a fan of fox shocks or forks at all. I just got my rip9 to all RS and it rides 100 time better now

No worries man, I have only tried a 40 in terms of pushing down on it and riding off a curb. The small bump sensitivity to the big hit transition in the fork just always felt clunked up. Top of that, they were always decently heavy back in the day, which Im sure that isn't the case now a days. When I first got into buying used DH bikes most times they came with a fox fork. Normally my first thing I would do is sell it out as I had no intentions with it. Jeez man the fork is a 2012??? Fuck bro I would just go to PB and have him lighten the deal without it. I don't think I would roll with anything less than a 2015...did they make the charger damper back then? What spec you got on the bike you are trading...is that the rip9?

I have grown picky on my stuff, but simple at the same time...dorado for dual crown, pike for single. My M9 and gambler both rock the rado...SC nomad, TR smuggler, and kona hardtail run the pike. Having an air fork is where its at for me though.

I'm picky as well. I like everything being the same so I can use the same oils and seal kits when rebuilding.

charger came out in like 2014-2015 I want to say lol, so this won't have that damper. the SS nimble 9 is on the chopping block for any of the new bikes. I'm into saving money now as much as I can, so if I let go of this it has to be for a straight up trade at a minimum.

to switch from fox to RS for the rip9, I sold the fork and spare wheels I had to buy a new pike and hope rear wheel for less than what I sold the other items for even when factoring in shipping! the deals are still out there, just harder to find lol

Yea very true, I would always buy a frame used now a days if possible and then build up my drivetrain since I typically run saint which to me is solid since 2013 or whenever they made the gen2 version since they wont loosen while riding like the gen 1s. Shifting wise I normally just scoop up the cheap silver sram shifter and derailleur combo and then buy the fork I need either used or new if its a rado. Are you looking to sell most stuff that you arnt going to use? I figured the trail bike would work better for ya since its an all around vs the dh only sled.

well i have a bunch of random parts for sale on pinkbike, so I suppose. my trail bike is dialed now and I couldn't be happier with it. It climbs like a hard tail and descends like a playful dh bike haha

I'm only thinking about trading my other bike so I can have a park bike to abuse when i want to

I was going to go to Bryce this weekend, but not sure depending on how plans are starting to play out. Man blue is a rough spot, but I need to go back there and to creek! You ever do the big hit redbull drop at creek? I want to do it, but couldn't find anyone to tow me in when I was there last.
