Yep my first bike i bought last june, a 2009 ninja 250r. This little thing is awesome!! It can pick up speed pretty quick still, and it small enough, great handling, 50mpg. its just an awesome little bike. Its a great starter bike as the top speed is only like 105 or something. But can still beat most any regular cars off the line. Go for the 250. Then later maybe you can upgrade once you get the feel for a bike.
