Many moons ago when the 3rd gens first came out….

I may or may not have deleted the entire 3rd gen subforum. There was a mass uprising. Members had their virtual pitchforks in hand. There was a mass exodus (members left the site for less than 90 minutes). It was the dark ages all over again.

I heard that legend. I think it was before my time.

My favs were the Ridgeline in the 3rd Gen banner and renaming it to the Dumbgeon.

I had absolutely nothing to do with the Dumbgeon being created :anonymous:

Looks nice in a photo shoot but I wouldn't want to take that Nissan off-road in the real world. I can see rear disc brakes in one of the photos. Guess they had to cut corners somewhere.

If they put a 4.7 in the tacoma, there would be absolutely no competition and they would own the truck market. I wish they would do it.

As a previous Nissan owner, I can say it would be tempting. However, their reliability dropped when they went from the VK56DE/5AT to VK56VD and whatever too many gear transmission you got. Parts were expensive and stupid to find. Nissan has a penchant for ignoring badly designed parts such as rear differentials, radiators with internal trans coolers and wheel hubs that like to jettison themselves away from the truck at highway. I switched to Toyota because I wanted more reliability and simplicity. Now a Tacoma with the 5.7L 3UR-FE? I would buy one tomorrow!

No money, all went to truck...
Nah man, tacoma owners couldn't handle the 4.7. Tacoma crash videos would replace all the Dodge crash videos.

I like that it was a Mopar nut taking out a Stang to keep the sidewalks safer for everyone.
