Sorry, for some reason I stopped getting alerts about my own thread (??)

Anyways yes, that is exactly the terminal you're looking for, so if there was a blue wire in pin 26 there it's confirmed!

I went back for further inspection with a dental mirror, and I can confirm that the blue wire is going where it should.

Well now that that's confirmed, write up is coming soon™. ;)

I just have a pile of other work right now, I'm writing what should be my last paper for a master's degree. I'll edit the OP and maybe add an index of common questions.

I can officially confirm that I'm pre wired all the way to the grille. I'm going to order a fog light harness and relay and install the switch and see if it works. This may be much easier than I thought!

    ====THE "MY SR IS PRE-WIRED" METHOD====

First off, here are all the parts numbers you need for the 55W TRDOR version:

If you don't want to take off your steering wheel, replace the stalk switch with a SPST switch of your choice and skip the "steering wheel off method" section and go to the "no steering wheel removal method" section.

It's easiest to start with the engine bay wiring harness. Pull out the front grille and lay out the harness. It has clips spaced along its length that push into corresponding holes on the bumper to hold it in place. Plugging the harness into the connector that is already there, front and center in front of the radiator is pretty self-explanatory. I actually goofed and clicked the attachment clips in from the top, they should go in from the bottom- this doesn't really matter as it fits either way.
The two clips closest to the fog light connectors are a little hard to see and get to, but the first one pops in from the back side of the bumper, up near where the headlight is, and then the second mount is inside the bumper, closer to where the fog light actually mounts. It helps to have a friend helping (or flexible, long monkey arms!) but it shouldn't be too big of a deal to click all of the anchors into place.
You should have plenty of slack in the harness.

Installation of the fog lights is pretty straight forward and has been covered by other helpful TW members, but the basic idea is plug 'em into the harness, slide each lamp's tabs into their mating holes in the bumper, and then secure them with the installation screws, coming in from behind. A magnetic screwdriver that is a little on the short side is a life saver here!
The covers all pop on pretty easily. They are not going to fit exactly flush against the fog light housing, this is on purpose so don't fret. I've seen people freak out and RTV the gap, all that does is make your life hell.

Next comes the relay. Push your new relay into the empty slot next to the purple relay. (Toyota already gave you the 15A fuse, how nice of them!) This is also helpfully labeled on the fuse box lid.

    STEERING WHEEL OFF METHOD
Now all that's left is adding your stalk switch! This means you need to remove the airbag, so BE CAREFUL here. Disconnect the battery, and remember all the safety protocols for airbag handling, like leaving the airbag face-up when you put it down, and carry it with the bag side facing away from you. Getting punched by a loose airbag probably hurts a lot, and if it goes off when face-down, it turns into a lift charge that can launch a full sized human.

@moe2o4 is once again my savior here, as it turns out adding cruise control requires a very similar process. Step 1 and 2 of his guide are exactly what you're looking for. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2016-cruise-control-mod-on-my-sr.400854/

You will be disconnecting the airbag connector. Again, remember to disconnect your battery too!

Past this point I have not personally done to my SR, so I'm hoping other members can chip in with their own pictures of the process. There is a big nut holding the steering wheel onto the steering column. Firmly hold the wheel and use an impact wrench to get that bad boy off. If the steering wheel doesn't come off easily, re-thread the nut on a few turns and apply a solid rocking/pulling action on the wheel. You re-thread the nut so if it suddenly releases you don't uppercut your jaw with the steering wheel. With the wheel off, you're going to remove the column cover again as well. Without the wheel in the way, this should be trivially easy as there is easy access to the 2 screws.

This whole time, be careful not to yank on or break any plastic connectors!

I'm also not sure of all the fasteners and/or connectors used to secure the turn signal stalk, so again, I'm hoping other members will chip in eventually. What you will be doing is removing the wiper stalk from the column assembly, then detaching the turn signal stalk and pulling it off of the steering column.

At this point, your truck will look something like this (only without the lower dash removed):

@TKPRO , perhaps you could shed some light on exactly what to expect at this point in the install?

Grab your new turn signal stalk with the fog switch and install that, then reinstall the wiper stalk onto the new signal stalk assembly. Make sure you have plugged in ALL of the connectors before putting it all back together!

Re-attach the steering wheel and airbag. Again, remember to be careful and make sure you're not forgetting any connectors!

(Sorry I don't have detailed pics for this at this point, my Tacoma was un-wired! Massive props to any TW member willing to show some good pics of their process!)

Congrats, now you've added all the missing parts and you have a totally OEM fog light install! Have fun! Confuse dealer techs everywhere on what trim level you have!

    NO STEERING WHEEL REMOVAL OPTION
If the whole "pulling off the steering wheel" thing just makes you a little uncomfortable, fear not. You can always splice a ground switch into the harness and use a 2015 style switch like the folks who weren't pre-wired. This does require getting into the dash and cutting one wire, though.

Head on over to Moe2o4's fog light guide and check steps 5 through 8 on how to get into the dash: here

Once you have the dash open you'll find this connector circled in yellow:
In pin location 26 you will find a BLUE wire where non-prewired folks would find none.
I'll leave it up to you how you want to go about getting this blue wire to be ground switched- you can use a tap, or cut it and add a splice, or if you're really crazy you could even go back to the steering column connector and add a terminal to it, but ultimately that wire needs to become your ground switched signal wire.
From this point, you'll want to go back to the OP (here) and scroll down to the heading "DASH SWITCH INSTALL" and follow along from there!

My SR utility has that wire up by the grill but I don't think it's pre-wire

Yup, all trucks have the wire by the grill, it's what's inside the dash that varies.

I'm being a guinea pig with my install and seeing if I can add auto headlights at the same time. If I can get this to work it'll be worth noting that the headlight switch you select will vary on weather or not you want auto lights.

The clock spring was very easy. Center your steering wheel, remove the air bag, remove the wheel, remove the clock spring, swap switches and put it all back together. All in all it only took about 20 minutes to swap out the switches.

I can officially confirm if you're pre wired, it's as easy as installing the switch, relay, front harness, and lights. It works perfect and the little dash indicator even comes on.

I'm still waiting on the harness for the auto lights, so I'll keep you guys posted.

Did you use a steering wheel puller or did you just yank off the wheel?

For the record the auto lights do not work even when properly hooked up. I believe it's in the computer itself. It was worth a shot, but I'll be scrapping that project.
