4.88 Nitro Gear package purchased from Toytec, new in box, unopened. Includes Master Install Kit. I dearly want to get this installed, but the work is beyond my personal capacity and I cannot for the life of me find an experienced shop that will install customer-provided parts in the eastern VA area. Bummer for me, bonus for you.

I'm not going to open the box in order to maintain the NIB status, but see below for pictures of the box and label, and info about everything included.

Current price Toytec sells this for is $1650 plus shipping, yours for $1400. Pick it up in person in Williamsburg VA, or pay shipping. The package is just under 50 lbs, 18" x 12.5" x 12", and will ship from zip code 23188.

Alternatively ... if you know a shop that can & will skillfully install this customer-provided part into a 2019 6MT TRDOR that is within a 2-3 hour drive to Williamsburg, VA, please let me know. Thanks all!

The 2016 & Newer Tacoma is a fantastic vehicle, the new engine packs a punch into a fairly small displacement, and needs RPM’s to operate efficiently and at peak performance. East Coast Gears is south of you. They do tons of gears in tacos.

 

I would probably trust ECGS the most to do this job.

Also..."I cannot for the life of me find an experienced shop that will install customer-provided parts". A major problem I've seen in my area too. I even had a shop turn me away from mounting my tires onto a new set of wheels...because I didn't buy tires (or wheels) from them. Was glad to give them my money for the labor, but oh well.

Absolutely, ECGS was the first place I looked. They wouldn’t do it with customer parts, wouldn’t even entertain letting me waive the warranty on the work.

I will probably end up going to them to buy the parts and get the work done when it’s time … but in the meantime I’ve gotta find someone else who can make better use of these gears that I bought. Real bummer.

I'm in Williamsburg too. Have you tried Eastern Trucks down in and Accessories in Norfolk? That shop is great to work with. One of the only shops I can find for hours that will rebuild shocks as well.

 

Try World Tour Off Road in Annapolis, MD. When I talked to them last year they were willing to do a gear swap with customer supplied parts.
