Looking at some new tires for my truck and am considering 265/75r16 load range c duratracs or 265/75r16 SL load range Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I live in salt lake and take the truck off road 6-8 times a year. Nothing extreme, just light trails and fire roads. I had major durability issues with the Kevlar wranglers that came on the truck (blew the sidewall out of 2 in 10k miles.).

Does anyone have any experience with these tires? Am I going to have the same issues with the SL rated ridge grappler that I had with my stock tires?

@Hw523 sidewalls are the weakest part of the tire and sometimes increasing the ply rating, may not guarantee less blow outs. I would be more concerned about the added weight and stiffer ride if I was to go with a heavier ply rated tire. Many forum members have gone with the Nitto Ridge Grappler for its more aggressive tread for off road use while maintaining on road comfort. Its a solid choice.
