What’re yalls opinions between the two? Only MT I’ve ever owned were KM2s which I loved. The truck I have now I bought with ridge grapplers already on (which I also really like) but I feel like the trail grapplers have a more aggressive look. If I were to get trail grapplers what would I be giving up

As with any MT you'll gain more traction in off road conditions and less traction in daily driving. They'll be louder, heavier, and more expensive.

    not much yet!
I have had 2 buddies run the trail grapplers, loved them, but they are noisy. Wear was decent so long as you keep up with rotations (given with any tire). I am running the ridge grapplers on my tacoma, and absolutely love them. They are much quieter than the Trail Grapplers, and will not hurt your mileage quite as much, as they offer them in a C load. The TG i believe only come in E or maybe D load depending on the tire. I've had mine off road plenty of times, and never had traction issues, chunking or fear of puncturing. Given the weight and towing capacity of our trucks, I dont really see a point in NEEDING the D or E load... it just adds stiffness and harshness to the ride quality. Having said all that, my two buddies will be switching to RG as soon as their TGs wear out.

I had the Terra Grapplers and they were great tires and never let me down. But I decided to with the more aggressive Ridge Grapplers when I went to a 285. Just personal preference really. But I’ve been pleased with them.

I’m not a big fan of the terra grapplers thread patten personally. I think the ridge grapplers look great. I just really like the MT look and I’m not familiar with any tires besides BFG. If I do go with a MT I wouldn’t be able to decide between the Nitto Trail grapplers or the Toyo MT

Two good options. You can’t go wrong.

If you’re going trail graps be prepared for the downsides. A little louder, it doesn’t bother me and maybe slightly lower mileage. It finished off the look I was going for so it was a no brainer for me to go trail. 5,000 miles and they still look nearly brand new. I fully expect to get at least 40000, maybe 50000.

Would agree with above that you can’t go wrong. All about the look you want versus some minor performance differences.

Your trucks styling is pretty similar to mine... I personally think the trail grap looks best with a setup like that.

I'm on my second set of Trail Grapplers and have loved them E load 285/65/18's. I've gotten around 50k to 55k miles out of each set and have worn great with doing tire rotations every 5k to 7k miles. You will loose some gas mileage since they are a heavy tire and are more noisy on road vs a AT tire but that's to be expected. As far as a MT tire they are pretty quiet on the road compared to other brands and are awesome off-road and never had an issue with them or have let me down. I do have a set of Cooper STT Pros sitting in my garage that I'm waiting to put on some SCS rims once I get them. Only reason I went with the Coopers was that I scored a better deal on them over black Friday than I could with the Trail Grapplers, and the Coopers seem to be pretty comparable to the Trail Grapplers.
