so i had them put on today and i guess I’m shocked on the road noise and how hard the truck has to work to move Tease tires down the road. I’m i missing something ? They look awesome but already make a slow truck slower.

    Did you get an alignment?
What air pressure are you running?

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
Are they C or E rated? E rated will be much heavier than stock

Are you running the Ridge or Terra Grapplers? I've had the TG for 3 years and 42k miles, no issues at all and average about 20 mpgs over the lifetime.

They weigh 42 lbs in 265/70/17

Ridge Grapplers are a mud tire and heavy, is that what you have?

I have the terra, my air pressure is 35 psi and i did have them check my alignment. I can’t find on the tire weather it’s a E or C I assumed Tara was a C ?

I'm guessing you got heavy ass E-loads. This ain't no 1-ton.

Take them back and get something else in a C-load. Look up the weight of the tire. Stock tires are 36ish lbs... I wouldnt go much more than 8-10lbs higher than that.

I think the Trail Grapplers are mud tires. Ridge grapps are all terrain

Just curious, Discount Tire shows the following for the Nitto Ridge Grappler specs for a 265/70/17

    112S (C load) @ 55 lbs
    115T (SL) @54 lbs
    121Q (E load) @ 51 lbs

According to the Nitto site the 115T are just under 44lbs, not sure which is right.

It can be a heavy tire depending on load

Thanks TW, I do have T115 C rated tire. It’s my first A/T tire, I’ll give it 1000 miles. Today was better.

Tread will be a little bit rough for the first 2-300 miles until they wear in smoother, they should get better by then.

On another note, will the 70 affect the speedometer. Will i have to get it adjusted?

Maybe, factory spec to GPS is +/- 5% so it might even make your speedo more accurate.

No, you wont need to get it changed, the difference is imperceptible
