Mine had a little rub on the plastic there too on my driver front when reversing and turned. I had them push the caster forward and no more rubbing. Will still do a CMC and heat the plastic for sound of mind in the near future.

    Looks so good! Nice job!

Mine dropped too a little at first but then I learned to keep it under two grand. Which is very hard with these trucks. I think they they will stiffen up a bit after the first 500 miles. Mine seemed to. Plus tire size and air pressure play an important role. I try to keep mine at 37 psi. Seems to be the sweet spot for me. I still haven't verified that yet with the chalk test.
Thanks, yea, it only rubs when I turn and brake at the same time, like at the end of my driveway. I think it is there to help hold the fender liner in place. I am sure it can be heated up and bent backwards. Or cut off with a dremel tool. If I put the mud flaps back on and heat up that bump out and push it in you would never know the plastic piece was gone. My tires only stick out about an inch, inch and a half so maybe the OEM flaps won't be beneficial. I kinda hate to spend the money on the Rokblokz if I don't need them. If they made them in orange I would be all over em' LOL.

Edit, I Love to learn things............ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caster_angle

I've never really considered Nittos because they always seemed like a poser tire. ... and both of their previous offerings seemed so loud on other people's trucks. It's just hard for me to get past that LOL.

It is a Rough Country lift. Should look pretty epic. Definitely excited to see the transformation.

Ok, hold freaking everything! I thought I had to spend at least 3 grand to get a lift over 2" ?! I can get a 6" lift for under 1100 bucks?! What the Hell!? 6" has to change a lot of crap though. Brake lines, for one have to be changed too right? What about the driveline? Is all that covered with a lift kit like this?

I am sure there is a lot of merritt in a more expensive setup but if all I want is some height and will never off road, is the route I should be taking?! Hell, I would be satisfied with the 4" lift version.

    Please enlighten me.

The total for tires, rims, and lift, plus installation was $4k minus 10% military discount so I paid $3600 for it all.
    Comes with
    • Lifted knuckles
    • Strut spacers
    • Front crossmember
    • Rear crossmember
    • Front skid plate
    • Lower skid plate
    • Differential drop brackets
    • Steering stops
    • Bumpstops
    • Bumpstop extensions
    • Sway-bar relocation brackets
    • Brake line brackets
    • Hardware
    REAR
    • 4in Fabricated lift blocks
    • U-bolts
    • Carrier bearing shims
    • Brake line brackets
    • Hardware
    SHOCKS
    • (2) Premium N2.0 series (rear)
...IMO if you are not using this to go rock crawling or anything crazy, then this suspension lift is more than capable for your wants and needs.
Also, I was going to get the 4" lift but the 6" is the same price so I decided, what the hell, lets go another 2"

Ok, so we went from $1,079. to $4k with Tires and Rims and Installation. I have tires and wheels. How much is installation gonna run me, ball park? I see a lot of nuts and bolts in the kit but not a lot of major components. Is this something I can do myself in the course of a weekend. I have air tools, and a 3 ton jack, and stands, ramps, some screwdrivers, etc. LOL Then of course there is the front end alignment. That is a must I suppose.

Just seems like I already have $2k (my discount prices) invested in the wheels and tires. I don't mind spending another $1.5k on a 4" lift done right.

And yea, I might crawl over some curb stops at the mall, or drive over some messed up snow plowed roads but my truck won't be going off road for at least a year or two. I try to keep it as new looking as possible for the first couple in case I want to trade it in.

    Thanks,
    Rob

I can't help you on installation times for doing it yourself, as I am having someone do it for me professionally. The guy told me it takes him around 8-9 hours to put the lift in, so someone who hasn't done it before, is most likely going to take a lot longer. I don;t have the receipt right in front of me but I think with the lift +installation/alignment= around $1600-$1700

No doubt it would take me a week. I use the x10 method for installation of mods. There's always the F factor with me. LOL

Yea, see, I am on board with paying that much, for 4" or hell, like you said, just say screw it and go the full monty. Once and done. I really only want more stance and to clear 275's some day. I really will never bash it off road. It just needs to be able to handle potholes at 40 mph and snow covered/plowed roads at 50+ mph. Some day I will do trails and water crossing but those are generally at much slower speeds than I drive on road (the city roads I drive on are worse than some unpaved trails) so.......
