Mine have finally disappointed me. One has developed a really bad wiggle or shimmy. Very annoying on the front. Tried re balancing. I think one has just worn oddly and prematurely.

What’s the average price you guys paid for mount balance and switching out the TPMS? Just curious..

I just had a shop quote me a great price on the tires, however, $125 mount and balance plus 125 for TPMS!!???

Funny, this is exactly what they told me when I called all 3 times and subsequently posted in the thread back then. Those posts and your written letter should be a Sticky somewhere

One other thing they said that your letter touches on is the "designation from the past" statement. On the phone they added this is done simply because it's easier for people to relate to. When I explained how if that's the case it just makes the specs confuse people more and the information should be noted on the site. Two of the three times they agreed. o_O

    I think I paid like $130 or $140.

Moved TPMS from OEM set to new Ray 10s
Mounted OEM tires back onto OEM wheels.
Mounted new Tires onto Ray 10s.
    Balanced both sets.
Threw in the Gorilla Lug Wrench w/Nut Adapters (list price $32.00)

Zero scratches on anything and new setup rides like glass.

I just had my 45000 mile ToyotaCare service. So maybe about 25 to 30000? It's a guess. Anyway... they have been rotated at every 5000 mile service and balanced twice. Shocks are Bilsteins that I consider relatively new for what I paid.

I'm not complaining about the tires. Just saying that at the mileage they are, they are losing their flower so to speak.

Yeah, I think if you can get get a decent 30k or more you're ahead of the game with any tire. Sux to think that's the norm.

Case in point. I had Duratracs on my 4Runner. Never had them off road, ever. At 30k miles the excellent traction started to decline, they got louder and basically were delaminated. The kicker ultimately was we were driving home, it was a light rain, I was about 20' behind a old ass F250 that stopped all of sudden. I started to stop at like 10' and slid. Pro Tip - never put a Bull Bar on a vehicle. The impact did nothing to his POS, he looked at the 4R and laughed and drove away. I took the Runner to the dealer because it was a lease. Nearly $5k damage.

Moral, I didn't have any more trust in the tires. I'm at 23k miles on these Nittos. I can definitely break traction easier pulling out of the parking garage into traffic at work. However, we recently got 3+ inches of snow (trust me when I say my driveways are steep) and in just 4WD I had no problem.

My mileage is steady. Not the best. But for the added weight, and lift I'll deal.

I hope I get more than 30k on these. I'll measure them tomorrow if I remember. They look like they are hardly wearing.

I still want the perfect tire. It has to have a lot of sipes in each tread block. Yet enough space between them to provide decent traction in mud, and snow without loading up. I'm almost beyond needing a gnarly (yes I said gnarly) sidewall.

I wish I could afford to run multiple tires to provide a well rounded review. I can tell you this though. I've run about 6 different types. So far, these Ridge Grapplers are my favorite.

That's the crappy part. They still show very little wear. I guess on that one tire, the wear is just uneven somehow... or it has a belt issue, or a rubber density issue.

Any chance of a warranty claim for a manufacturer defect? I would reach out just to see what they say.

Oh, and I suppose they checked for a worn bearing on that wheel? Did you try switching it to other spots, rear, left etc?

Looking on the website... says there will be a 265/75/16 coming March 1st! Had these on my 14 F150 in 295/60r20s and they were awesome!

Ridge grapplers are an AT tire correct?

    It's actually a Hybrid cross between a A/T and a M/T according to Nitto.

Edit - Like the Goodyear Duratrac
