I’ve had my RG’s for about 2k miles now. Haven’t had any issues with handling in the rain and I am happy at how quiet they are for a somewhat aggressive tire. We just got 8” of snow overnight in CT and decided I’d drive the truck instead of the tdi. Super impressed on traction. Didn’t slide at all and traction on take off was good(also had the locker engaged and 4wd for some hills). I’ve been avg around 16mpg in town and 19-20 hwy.

Wanted to chime in on the highway noise level of these tires. I've been pleased with the noise level and ride comfort of these tires so far (about 500 miles). I did some decibel readings using my iphone and the Decibel X app of my RGs and my prior tires (BF Goodrich All Terrain KO2) and the numbers are nearly identical.

Ran the tests on the same stretch of highway with no cars around. Nothing scientific and not exactly apples to apples since the tires have different amount of use and are different sizes. Results are below.

Prior Tires (LT265/75R16 LRE BF Goodrich KO2 with 12,000 miles) Decibel reading averages at 70mph according to dash speed (72.4 real speed)

    Average: 68, Minimum: 66.15, Maximum: 70.2, and Peak: 72.15

New Tires (LT255/80R17 LRE Nitto Ridge Grappler 500 Miles) Decibel reading averages at 67mph according to dash speed (72.4 real speed)

    Average: 68.1, Minimum: 65.9, Maximum: 70.2, and Peak: 72.8

ditched my grapplers after 15000 miles,, they got very loud, they werent too bad in snow, but nothing like the general grabbers i put on 2 months ago, 13 inches of snow here monday , and general grabbers are much better in the snow..

I have about 10k miles on mine and they’re still as quiet as when they went on. I had them cross rotated (swap the fronts to the other side as they go to the back, move the backs straight forward) at 7500 miles. So far I’ve had no issues in rain or light (1-3”) snow. Compared to the BFG KO2s these tires replaced, I still couldn’t be happier.

Gas mileage has been great, compared to the KO2s. In the summer I averaged around 18 mpg on the highway and about 16.5 or so around town. Now, in the winter, I’m averaging about 16.5 on the highway and closer to 15 around town (my C rated KO2s averaged these numbers in the summer). Truck is lifted 3” and the Ridge Grapplers are 285/70/17 SL. Will report back after my next rotation at 15,000 miles.

Well I just bought a set of RGs. 265/75 r16 on stock Trd pro rims. They were installed Saturday morning and have already been back twice. Balancing issues as in it has been a horrible ride. Like my truck is beating me up. I think I might have one out of round but they are road forcing them again and going to start rotating one around to find the culprit. We shall see, I should have it back this evening.

SL I think speed rating is 116T. I don’t have any need for E’s. I’ll post up a picture if there is still light out when I get it back.

I hope it's just a bad one. Since they are using a RF machine I would suspect they know what they are doing too.

Did you see any colored dots on either sidewall of any of the tires?

Have you done any trails? Wondering how SL load holds up while on trails.

Well 2 tires out of round. Ordered 2 more and they had problems too. Now I am switching to a set of Falkens. We will see how there QC department is. It’s a shame too I ran trail grapplers for years with no issues. Just bad luck I guess.

Damn Colton!!! That sucks. Did they give up or you just said screw it? Did you have other tires on the same wheels without an issue?

After multiple bad tires I decided to switch. Falkens mounted and balanced fine no issues. Peace of mind.
