Hey guys. I'm trying to decide on some new tires for my ride and hoping for some suggestions or input. I'm not stuck on these two, but so far I've decided on these over the BFG AT.. The Dura Tracs are a maybe..

My Toyo M/Ts are bit loud for my taste, and looking to go AT on my next set, which I'll be needing soon.

Running Toyo MT 265/75/16 now.. and debating my options. I want a smoother, quieter ride as I don't deal with snow in vegas, and only wheel occasionally.

    thanks!

I have the Toyo AT II in P265/75r16:
Excellent traction in snow & slush.
They improved ride quality over stock Dunlops
    only lost about 1-1.5mpg max
I've put about 10k on them and tread wear seems to be doing really well
My only complaint is they are sorta of noise-y.
Not sure if it is because i got the P rated or not. It's not the low M/t rumble noise, its a high pitched hum.
It only becomes apparent above 60mph, but i do a lot of highway......
I will likely try Nitto's next time, I know alot of people that have them and they don't have anything bad to say
It is probably a wash either way, but I like a little variation

Just put P265/75r16 Toyo open country at2s on my truck. So far they seem great. They seem to hook up well (for an all terrain) in the upcoming mud season. I was a bfg snob, my hole life. But these seem like a good choice esp. because they come in P rated. Makes a big difference in weight. 640ish for all 4 from tread depot. Keep in mind duratracs are a snow tire, therefore they will ware like one.

    Good luck

Any of you guys responding with the Toyo AT 2, feel free to drop a picture ;) Otherwise, thanks for the replies thus far.

My brother has BFG AT on his Xterra, and they're ok, but I like the look of the Nitto's a lot more personally.

I'm torn between the Nittos and the Toyo AT II.

I've had multiple flats with the terra grapplers. And the wore down excessively fast. I personally like Mickey Thompson but I haven't heard anything bad about the toyos.

When I first got my truck I put nitto terra grapplers on it. I put over 60k miles on the tires. I always rotated but never rebalanced them the entire life of the tire.
They are a really well made tire.

Yes 2 from offroading. They have weak sidewalls IMO. Mickey Thompsons are awesome, but they also aren't the cheapest but it's almost impossible to find someone who had ran MTs and switched to another brand.

Yea I don't need MT as I only do some light off-road that AT will be able to handle just fine. I occasionally hit some snow in Utah for yearly ice fishing, but nothing too crazy.

Toyo AT2 has 65k warranty, can't find anything on Nitto though, as if that really matters. haha

No one had seggested them but my dad had procomp at and the sucked in mud and didn't last but 30k miles.they did go good in the snow that was the only plus about them

I sent you a PM but not sure if you got it. I didn't want to hijack the thread and was wondering what you had as far as front lift on your truck since its a trd off road like mine.

I ended up going with the Nitto Terra Graps... and so far I love them. Much quieter, smoother, and better handling than my worn down MTs. Great looking tire, and taking them camping again this weekend and will have my initial 6k for first rotation done soon and will report back.

There's a small spacer in the fronts to give me about 1" to make the truck sit slightly better. That's all.

Post pics when you can of your new setup. Also, how big is the spacer or where did you get it from? How is the ride compared to stock? I'm wanting to do a small lift on my TRD off road but have heard the ride stiffens up a lot when you compress the stock coil. Sorry for so many questions.

I have the Nitto Terra Grapplers. I like them. They do seem to wear a little faster, seem to be a softer rubber. But that's one of the reasons I got them, for good snow traction in the winters around here. They've done great in the snow. I've got close to 20k on them so far. Since they've worn a little, they've gotten somewhat louder, but I'm sure its nothing close to an M/T tire.

I recently threw some Toyo ATII in 285 70r17 on my truck. Coming from BFG AT KO, I am much happier with these overall. For my needs they have been just as good offroad and far superior on road with substantially better wet traction. They are quiet and give much less rolling resistance than the BFG's.
My gas milage has also been decent, though i do tend to roll like an old man.

There are pics in my gallery. I am on my phone so i cannot paste any here right now

Toss up IMO.....ran toyos on my truck and they lasted great and performed awesome. Now I have the Nittos and I am happy with them too. Wear seems to be on par with the Toyos. Comes down to which style tread and sidewall you like I think. I personally like the toyos a hair bit more. I got the Nittos this time because of budget(they were over a hundred cheaper) and don't regret it.
