    Hello all,

Im researching my next set of tires and I'm leaning towards the Falken Wildpeaks in 265/70/17 standard load. Im coming from Cooper Discoverer AT3 in LT265/70/17 load range C. My question for you all is how do these Falkens ride in the standard loads?

They seem to weigh about the same, have similar load specs at similar PSI, and have the same 2 ply sidewall as the Coopers, even though they are technically a standard load tire. However, the Coopers are a bit jarring being a LT Load C tire. My truck is just too light now for a LT tire, and I do too much street driving unfortunately. Do you think the Falkens have a similar jarring type of ride that the LT Load C tires have?

My other choice right now is the Nitto TG2 which are 6 lbs lighter and dont have the same load specs as the Falkens, so I would assume that they ride closer to the stock standard load tire feel.

So what do you all think the Falkens for looks, price, and great all around reviews...or the Nittos for weight savings and possibly more comfortable ride?

Looking forward to hearing your opinions and experiences.

From personal experience and from what I've researched, you are going to want the LT Wildpeaks, not the SL. The LTs last longer and seem to be much less prone to vibration issues. Yes, it's a heavier tire, but will be a better tire overall. I have E load Wildpeaks on three of my fleet vehicles and my personal travel trailer. I wouldn't buy anything else.
