Good job! We were hired by an elevator company to put a couple of lifts in there as part of their package. Lost the contract by default when they did because of safety issues on their end. Hoping to get picked up by whoever took over the main elevator contract.

On a somewhat related note, we were just featured in Elevator World Magazine for the five lifts I put in at the UN.

 

Do you work for Schindler elevator?

 

Installed by union glaziers. Manufactured privately. Believe me I'm much better taken care of now than by any of the union companies I worked for or else I wouldn't of left.

No, I work for Mobility Elevator. We do a lot of work for all the big elevator guys though. We are actually the largest accessibility lift company in the country.

 

It very well may be legit. I had the same thing happen to me on one of the trucks I was looking at. I was told it is very common.

 

I know most of you have 16 and 17" rims, but if interested in my old tires, let me know. They are 31x10.5r15's with about 5k on them. They are Cooper Discoverer ATR's. Looking to get $300.

Ahh okay I gotcha, that's a pretty good business to be in

 

Just spent the last 4hrs scrubin my frame by hand w degreaser. Holy waterlogged. So much rust. Frames delaminated from the front doors back. Should of bought a gallon of rust reformer. Lol

 

What paint are you using?

 

All Rust-oleum. Sanding then 2 coats of reformer Tom. gotta wait three days before I can sand prime and paint the ok spots and cover the reformer. After that I'm done with it. Just trying to prolong the inevitable.

My frame still looks good but the welds look like they are starting to rust. I was thinking about hitting them with the wire wheel and putting some new paint on them.
