No... 2 Jack stands on the cross member and 2 on the frame.. 1 or 2 usually don't contact the truck but are there more so if one jack stand fails another catches it enough for me to shit my pants and hopefully roll out safely... It happened to me at my buddies house once... His jack stand rusted out and when we let the floor jack down and put the weight on the jack stand it gave way and my brand new ones caught it

 

Not me but there is a junkyard near me.

 

Well I am not gonna lie and say it was at my house... I have a considerable lack of tools at my house

 

Valve gaskets, buy oem or will most anything from rock auto do ?

 

Why would you ever even trust rusted jack stands? That's all kinds of nope.

 

My jacks are rusted but its surface rust from when I lived in Brick on the water... His were just really rusty to say the least

 

My vote is for OEM... unless the price is outrageous, which is very possible.

 

Thats what Ive been thinking lately, but I bought the stuff to do it over 6 months ago and I'm finally getting the stones to do it and I'm not sure I trust the aftermarket stuff

If I here enough votes for oem Ill just rebuy everything oem… it didn't cost all that much for the stuff i bought

as long as you didn't buy garbage ones I'd say just install what you already have. if the ones you have don't last as long as oem atleast youll know how to change it out!

 

My vote is that if you have the stuff already than order the OEM compare it to the aftermarket. Especially if you are questioning it after you already have everything.

 

If they last 20,000 they'll outlive the truck

Make sure you get a diff seal

 

Beck/arnley valve cover gaskets
Felpro intake manifold gaskets
Felpro rear cam seals

Yeah I mean worse thing that happens it starts leaking again, not like it hasn't been leaking oil for 3 years already

This is probably about the best case scenario

 

Look up the brands. Most of rock autos stuff is good. Some not. Only oe stuff I buy is gaskets and oil filters oh and a starter and bushings and cam bolts lol.

Just pulled the trigger on some new ceramic coated headers and urd y pipe. Going all stainless.

If anyone wants a cheap dt pipe bomb hit me up. It's about 3 years old w/10k on it. Rusty as heck because its steel.

 

Seems like they both have good reviews all around so I'll just stick with what I got... At least if I do it I can take a look at the top end of the motor and see how fucked it is

I just have to figure out the whole cam seal things it's just a disk that you have to seal in place with rtv or some shit
