I had to do the same for now. I have the 12" shock body with the 10" travel shock and when the bump stop hits the frame the shock is pretty much bottomed out.

    And off to work...:pccoffee:

I hold no ill will towards anyone. Just because I busted your balls once don't mean shit to me.

30.19" extended - my leafs are at 29.25" extended (static load with new leafs that will get more flex over time)

    18.19" compressed

    12" travel

I discussed it in here.... and said I did not want to kill my compressed dimensions. It's the only option I could find. Gotta remember I was stuffing more tire than most because of my 255's and wheel choice. Now Ill be a little more than most, but have WAY more droop.

You know 99% of my stucks were being high centered and this set up will dramatically decrease those opportunities.

What would you recommend that would be better and requires no welding or modification?

In the end I considered it all and Ill take an extra loss of 1.4" in up travel any day to gain almost 10" in droop and not need to limit my articulation with straps.

Good because I feel the same. I don't judge anyone until I meet/get to know them.

bilstein b110's- - Collapsed Length (IN): 16.34″ - Extended Length (IN): 27.28″ - See more at: what are you using for leaf packs and shackles. my expos are pretty worn out so I'm going to get new leaf packs before moab, might as well get new shackles too, and figure out a longer shock option.

Those are the same old RCD shocks I have been speaking of. Would limit my droop over 2"...probably 3" and require limit straps....and I'd still have to extend my bumps....and they are a lower quality shock. Remember I just hacked two blown Billys off my truck. I was not looking forward to using them again.

5125's have a better suited shock sizes for our trucks but they aren't offered in stud mount + Once you add the eye to stud conversion kit it throws off the numbers.

OME w/no AAL & 1" lift shackles from a Heep. I haven't fine tuned it yet because the trucks empty (no tailgate/bumper/tools in tool box/brand new leafs not broken in). Shes no where near being tuned in. Ill be tweaking it for a little bit once the leaves settle in and I raise the front. Right now the shackle angle sucks.

    When do you deploy? :D

Nice dude, I looked at them in high school, still wish I had gone that route sometimes. And jelly if you head to the west coast.

Need to compare shackle flips one day for measurements.

I have plenty of adjustment left with everything including at least 1" in the shackle length.

Once Pat had his leaf springs and bump stops set he made up like 4 different shackle versions before he got it just right. I'm not worried if have to tweak anything or even get new shackles. Biggest PITA is going to be breaking in the leafs so I can get it tuned good. Thinking weight in the bed on whoops trails by the track.

Oh and Josh - you can't just use a jeep shackle.. I mean I guess some do, but the bushing dimensions are slightly different. One day Ill post some picks of how I changed the bushing sleeves and added fender washers. Sounds worse than it is.
