    I wound up just getting outdoor silicone... It was cheaper than RTV and a bigger tube... And I only needed to seal 1 hole that I cut in a grommet for the coaxial cable.

    Worked out fine for me luckily and has held up... No water in the truck yet.

    yea good point.. must be pure luck that my diffs don't have water in them..

    yea thats what i'll do tonight at work.

    it could be something else but tonight when I pull the rack off i'll shine a flashlight up between the roof and the side curtain air bag and look through the mounting hole to see if its open.

    I never said it wasn't waterproof, but to seal a hole in the cab I wouldn't use RTV, silicone is better suited for the application. RTV is more for making gaskets and such, sillycone is cheaper anyhow.

    I know you said you already sealed your fire wall, but, from my experience that pinch weld is a sneaky bastard. A few of the grinder cuts I made in mine penetrated into my cab and filled it with water.

    Yea I will hit it with some more rubberized undercoating spray.
    My problem yesterday was definitely from the roof rack/light bar mounting holes
