    I thought I saw that there was one planned for Saturday. Was actually just signing on to see what was up.m

    Took a lot of coaxing to get the old girl to fire up yesterday and today. Reminded me of an old diesel firing up in the cold. Had about 20 seconds of cranking, sputting, and spurting.

    Not going to lie though, yesterday and today I extra enjoyed my seat warmer and steering wheel warmer in the Grand Cherokee. :D

    Nice man, I have to install one of those pretty soon myself. Those are made to only be angled about 15 degrees or so; you will be able to tell as the exhaust will overheat the housing and give you some scorch marks. Mount it as close to the floor as you can as this will heat up the coldest air first and help to create better mixing of the exhaust, plus the radiant heat will warm lower and the chimney effect will help to warm the room. May want to get a small box fan to blow the heat down from the ceiling.

    I'll have to see how the housing is doing. I took it down last night and put a 2x3 behind the mounting bracket to space the top of it out a bit. i also swapped out the 18" piece of pipe for a 3" so the yellow hose doesn't look too long anymore. the 2x3 spaced the top out enough that now the plaques are pretty much vertical instead of leaning back. hopefully that helps warm the space a little better. I was also kind of forced to install it where it is, and as high as it is. right below it are the stairs to the basement, and theres no where else in the garage where the heater would make sense.
    I really need to insulate the garage. I'm sure that would make a huge difference. Cinderblock walls and then open rafters and gable.
