A deer hit my truck! Luckily it tried to jump over it... Cleared it... For the most part... It definitely hit the rear cross bar on the roof rack (no damage to roof) and hit the soft topper... Bent up part of the cross bar supports and the part that it hooks to ontop of the bed rail... Nothing that can't be fixed. Oh and for the deer... Its legs were broken so I tackled and knifed it... Its at the butcher... Being donated to a soup kitchen

Haha not the first time ive done that... Definitely the first time ive done it where the public can see and definitely the forst time it didn't have a bullet or arrow go through it first. The lady that saw it all happen pulled over and was freaking out. But she was happy when the deer was dead and no longer suffering

 

What I would give to only see you do it, but see that woman's reaction. I bet that shit's priceless. Most people find it hard to watch any kind of killing (even for food), so to see you tackle and knife a deer must be all too shocking.

 

did you call the police? I know you hunt, so idk as much about it as you, but i know if you hit a deer, kill it, and take it, you can get in trouble for "hunting" (outside of season or in an area where you're not allowed, or without a tag or whatever)

look at OK 4Wd in north jersey.I purchased mine there had them order a set of top plates and assemble the front struts with springs and plates,makes install easier.

 

It is one of the very few places that I will let work on my truck. Just east of Phillipsburg.

 

I got a place down by me that does really good work and the prices are good too.

Depends. Sometimes cops will say no you can't take it others say yes. The group of guys I hunt with and myself has the game warden for our area on speed dial.

I called him and he said I was good to go. Cost me $50 to donate it but it goes to a good cause

So many people around us hate hunters that he would just call us when he got a call about us hunting.... On property we were allowed to be on. With all the developements around where we hunt people freak out at the sight of a shotgun wielding man on the side of the road lol. But were always legal so it doesn't matter
