I'm about 45 minutes from ok4wd. I got my dakars there as well. Best price I could find plus no shipping plus they have them in stock usually so I didn't have to wait. But honestly other then going there for dakars that place is only good if you have a wrangler or pockets that go down to your ankles.

Since it's in my home town people up there love it but most are all jeep guys. Been wanting to do their little comp course for the fun of it for a while now but never can get out to their trucktoberfest.

I wanted to add a little more lift to my 3" Toytec Boss lift and I was thinking about an inch or so and saw that Performance Accessories just released a 2" body lift. Went over to The 4X4 Place in Lake Hopatcong and the guys allowed me to record the install again! Took just over 6 hours with modifying Aries Bull Bar brackets for the body lift.

Sorry you paid someone to do it. Looks pretty similar to my pictures. Should have just came down to BPF I would have installed for half the cost.

Too much. I've done 3 now and it really takes around 4 hours max so unless they charge you any more than $300 you're getting raped plus if you get to install with me we drink beers and have fun along the way.

Looks cool, but I think any body lift over 1" is a no go. I have a 1/2" because there was virtually no modifications needed to be done to fit it.

It was $728.00 for the install.

This is the newly released Performance Accessories 2" body lift, much more involved than the 1", cutting and extending shifter is just one of the many things that is not needed with a 1" BL.

I always hear that about body lifts, I have always had them, I had a 1983 Yota pick up I used to get air with on a regular basis and beat the hell out of it and it had a 3" BL, never had a problem. I have had 8 Toyota trucks (2 were 85 4Runners) and all but 1 had a body lift, 32 years of wheeling them and no issues.

Gotcha, even so I think close to 800 is pretty steep. Good looking trucks!

Yeah I think body lifts are fine, but over 1" to have to do all those modifications its not worth it anymore

Thank you! In my early days I used to install suspension and body lifts and I know they are time consuming and the install time was over 6 hours with this 2" PA kit and you mentioned 4 hours. I had a Roger Brown 1.5" BL in my 2003 Tacoma and a 1.5" body lift is a lot less time and there is no shifter cutting and welding, no rear bumper relocation brackets for the lift. I know from a buddy that this would have been over $900.00 at another well known NW Jersey 4X4 shop.

    Thank you!

Depends, nice thing about body lifts is no CV angles to tear boots, UCA's, no carrier bearing failure for the rear driveshaft or driveshaft vibrations, etc., etc, and your ride does not change! I think the bad rap on body lifts is from the days when people were making homemade BL's with hockey pucks and other garbage that failed, like I said, I have had PA body lifts in 9 vehicles (Also 3" in a W150 with 5.5" susp lift and a 2" in a 90 YJ with 4" susp lift) and over 30 years of jumping and wheeling my trucks, not one failure!

I'm talking cost to function wise, its not worth the money, other than avoiding having to tub fender wells to tuck 35"+ tires. Looks wise if its worth it...maybe, that's opinionated though.

Higher center of gravity but not higher ground clearance = not my cup of tea.

That is a bunch of nice old trucks though.
