    All over in Wharton state forest off of rt 206 between Astion lake and Basto village there are plenty of good campgrounds. My son goes out all the time. He like "Mullica River wilderness campground" and the "Goshen campground" and the "Lower forge" campground. U can't get info from Wharton state forest website.

    @hsenoff: I'm about 10 miles north of Rutgers in New Brunswick. There's more wooded areas where I live but nothing geared for camping (that I know of).

    Oh wow small world! That's what I've been trying to research, I feel like there has to be a spot around here that someone knows about. Bridgewater is pretty open and theres some pretty wooded areas near the Foothill Road and Mountaintop Road, but I haven't stumbled upon anything yet. Too many rich people living out here and building homes haha. I think maybe I'll just go out for a drive when I get some time off of work this week to see if I can find anything and let you know.
