Whens the next mod day???

 

Time for u bolt flip and super bumps

 

What even is the benefit of u-bolt flips? I see it recommended, but it means nothing to me. When I eventually get to affording new suspension bits, maybe I'll consider it if I see a point.

 

If I remember correctly
1 Get them off the truck,
2 clamp them with like a c-clamp
3 un-do the center pin and braces,
4 Un-clamp them
5 Add leaf
6 Clamp them again
7 Replace center pin and braces *install shim with the center pin if using one.

Repeat on the other side...
Drink cold beverage before and ader every step

You right... don't do u bolt flip...

They relocate the plate to the top so you don't get hung up on them while wheeling...
You should probably put new u bolts anyway when you replace that bump even if just oem ones

 

I smell a BPF mod day eventually

 

Well I'd like to eventually replace most of the suspension, since it's all stock, but I'm thinking perhaps get new bump stops sooner because I didn't realize how shit they were. New U-bolts were already in the plans but I may as well get them early. They wouldn't get so much use on them by the time I replace suspension that I'd need to replace them again. Or would I? I've read to replace them every time you take them off due to their torqueing design or something.

 

There are always low key RC meets going going on... but I think the next big one is Takeover

Nope looks to be only the cover so far. Monday will see adjuster

And that's just the replaceable part. There is a stopper at the bottom of the frame that I had those metal bumps get crushed and break off on me. Only fix for that is plating/rebuilding it.
