Oh the plan's for an early start? Definitely won't be able to make it then. I've got work the night before and that night. Mornings/early afternoons between two work nights don't work out so well.

Especially if you'll only use it while wheeling, the Wilson magnetic mount is a good option. Or drill a hole and do the roof mount Wilson 1000. I think having antennas mounted on the hood will be really annoying.

If you have them operational, then they are not just for looks... no argument that if they were further apart the gains would be greater.
As far as my experience goes: I'm usually the one that everyone hears last when we break apart and start driving separate ways and I can also hear others even when they are no longer able to hear each other... we can call it out-performing single antenna set-ups or we can call it just being lucky I've never done any controlled testing

Now, is it worth the money? maybe not. At the time I did mine no one I wheel with had a dual set-up, so gave I it a chance and its working for me so far.

Hopefully it works for me to, I just need to tune it so I'll probably wait till I run into someone with a meter
