Yes yes I know I haven't wheeled anything challenging yet... Ill make it to Rausch this year... And Ill probably be heading to Moab next year... just depends on whether I can get 2 weeks off work... Don't see why I can't considering there is no ice to break so we don't do much... Moab is looking very promising.

@Wheelspinner im not bashing your design as the carrier is obviously functional but to protect the integrity of your cans and the mount I had suggested to move it up...

Sorry Josh I didn't see your post... Yes it might be same height as most but it also causes the mount to drag on an obstacle...

I guess my logic is not making sense to anyone? While Raising it up higher than the tail gate is not an ideal design itd save the cans the chance of being smashed if say he dropped off an obstacle onto the mount...

 

I'll believe it when I see it. I understand you are trying to learn and I appreciate that, but for gods sake don't tell people what you think they should or shouldn't do when you have zero personal experience on the subject.

And his cans are not at risk for shit, all that's at risk is scratching the mount. Nothing some paint can't fix. Anything that hangs off the back of a truck is at risk for hitting something whether it be a tree or a ledge but it's not like it means there is a flaw in the design or that it needs to be changed.

So I did some extencive field testing of the coco customs tailgate Larry can mawnt. Turns out and obbstakle tall enough to hit the mount can't even be driven on cause the truck high centers long before the back of the truck gets to it. We can all sleep tonight. And 0rigibally p0sted by me
