Im not sure Ill tackle the Trans or T case myself unless I had a hand fromsomeone who has done it before and knows what they are doing but the front and rear diff I don't think would be all that hadd

:anonymous: i bet mine are toast. I also have to get a new stud for the passenger rear... Its been stripped for good while now

I tackled the stainless extended brakelines today. After stressing over it I took a deep breath gathered myself and realized it was easier than I thought haha. I tackled the rear first since it was easier to access.

Now I am all ready to install the lift with hopefully minimal issues afterward... Maybe some vibes but Ill be ordering axle shims of all sizes just in case

What are your concerns with the trans and t case?

Tcase is same as front diff and rear diff. Actually of the 3, front diff is the most difficult one. Start spraying the drain bolt with pb blaster now.

Tcase is 2- 24 mm nuts. Remove fill, remove drain, let it drain, reinstall drain bolt, fill with 1.1 qts iirc, reinstall fill bolt.

Trans isn't bad (I think you have an auto?) just read the DIY thread and practice getting into temp check mode first.

For someone who knows how to swap a corvette motor into a clown car, surely you can figure out how to change the fluids on a Tacoma. :p

They are just expensive pieces of the truck Id rather not fuck with lol... Plus id like to get the trans flushed and I can't do that so I have to get someone to do it... I know I shouldn't but I am gonna have Toyota do it... That way if they fuck it up they have to fix it...

I won't be swapping the engine in myself FYI :p but I have been shopping for a Miata... There is a nice little black one in allentown PA for 2500 at a dealer but its freakin auto and I want to play around in it while I start stock piling parts for the next year-2 years and you can't play in an auto :pout:

T case is easier to drain and fill than the front diff especially if you got an ifs skid.

Reccomend getting a hand pump for the diff oil bottles to make life easier.

Ifs skid is easy to get on and off. And noted on the hand pump... The other kid I live with is an "amsoil dealer" so hes gonna hook me up with his discount for all the oil

engine cost way more than your tcase or trans or diffs yet you have no issue changing it's oil.

Simple and ive read a write up and my first time changing the oil I did it with a friend who was a toyota tech at the time.

Plus like I said I want it flushed and I can't flush it... And I can't find a write up for the 4cyl trans... Only the v6
