Truth. I have to work on my truck in my apartment complex and EVERYONE AND THEIR MOTHER wants to come a chat... the only person I don't mind is the one dude who always comes out with a craft beer, scotch or a cigar.

 

I owe you an apology as well. Just seems that a lot of the time you're the one we see when something is wrong so it's easy to associate you with it, even if you're not the only one responsible.

 

Agreed. The more people around the less that gets done. Unless its yard work or some shit and in that case, you guys are all invited over this weekend to help move 7 tons of stone and sand and 400sqft of pavers! Just found out our bobcat won't be coming..

 

Meh... I got 9 tons of #3 river rock moved by myself in a weekend by hand. You'll be fine solo. Hahaha get some day laborers

Not everyone uses Dom for sliders I'm pretty sure my elites are HREW and I still dented them somewhere in Moab I think.

I would suggest bolt on just in case you decide you want a bigger tacoma someday. A vehicle with something welded to the frame will knock a few buyers out of the running

Sliders are one of the most important pieces of armor for your truck. They work great for protection from car doors and other stuff too. Hell Boyd got hit by a BMW and didn't even get a scratch.

Buy the ones that will be the easiest for you to use, best design or atleast ones you really like, and if you think you'd like to be able to remove them and sell them if you get rid of your truck, get bolt ons.

FWIW: I've got weld on 4x innovations that are HREW. They do the job well.

 

I think the thing I am most afraid of with my truck is losing it (an accident/frame rusting out/engine grenading) and needing to re-do all these mods onto another first gen. Am I the only one with this fear? This is literally the first car I've owned where I want to keep it for 10+ years. And my last car was a pretty sexy bimmer.

 

Just did 6 tons of 3/4 blue stone for the coming shed bed..and a Few weeks ago moved 10 tons of top soil..... I highly considered the skid steer (bob cat) but went the cheap way and did it by g' ol shovel... I did use my lawn mower with a 2cf bucket to move it around.
