No not too much, used to be a bit in Leonardo but they blocked it off, and also I've done some off whipperwill but it's definitely private property and I don't know the owner. Used to go back there in high school when I had my 94 ford ranger. Yea I'll let you know when I'm down there we can get a beer or something, I'd like to look underneath a turd gen:cheers:

Ok great. I was just wounded in gif anyone new of any off-roading trails by lbi ft 72 area. I've been to atsion lake once but did not venture far. I just wanted to show my friend some new scenery and have a neat spot to take some pictures. I've never really been off-road . Looking for any easy trail with turn around spots in case I feel unsure of any situation. I have a stock 2009 sr5 4 door with 275/70/r16. ( only mod so far) just looking to get my feet wet. Also any basic I might need would be a huge help. Thank you everyone. Like I said just looking for an easy trail.

I see spell check has tricked me again. I meant tire size was 265/70/r16.

Well there isn't anything crazy but you can go to wharton for some trails to cruise around its about 45 mins from you i believe. I always have to travel an hour+ for the good trails and rarely find anything closer. We also frequent jackson, a good amount of trails in there with hill climbs and a few technical trails, not sure how far you'd get with a stock truck on that stuff but there are plenty of plain old trails to cruise around there too and you'll see other trucks/jeeps/dual sports etc almost every weekend. thats about an hour from you. Both of these places are pretty much all sand, nothing you should get stuck in however. then if you are feeling it you can go up around the stokes state forest area, venture around buttermilk falls, and theres a spot in Jefferson too, those are actual dirt and rocks but they gotta be 2 to 3 hours from you so that'd be a hike. I don't know many places up north but the few I've been to were cool.

Stafford Forge is close to you.. its nothing crazy but theres a ton of roads and get spots for pictures.. if you wanna go a little more challenging you could follow the trail there that runs up along the parkway and follow that for a good while until you reach a pretty cool pit with some more areas to flex and stuff

I live in Marlboro. I know of some spots in Jackson, but it's been years since I've been there. It's light wheeling but there is sand, etc so I would go alone. I've never seen a cop or rangers back there but I'm not sure how legal it is. From what I remember, there's no signs that prohibit motor vehicles. Now would be a good time to go with little to no rain we've had. I may be down to check it out again if you want. I'm with you though. I'm interested in Rausch, etc, but don't think it'll ever happen. I need my truck to get me to work and pay my mortgage. I'm going to be using it for surf fishing this season on the beach too..

I wouldn't pay someone to do drum brakes. They're pretty simple, but its a bit of a puzzle. Just do one side at a time so you have the other side as a reference as to how its supposed to go together.

yea that would be fun. time is the problem.

You're going to do more long term damage to your truck by driving it on the beach than you would by driving it "carefully" at rausch. Salt water is no joke, and these toyotas have problems rusting out even in the best of conditions. As long as you don't go on trails above your skill/armor level, and don't drive like a retard, rausch is fine. I've seen more serious damage to trucks in the pine barrens than I have at rausch, and at rausch anyone that brakes something is usually asking for it.

You can't compare Rausch with the beach a couple of hours every other weekend. Especially when I always rinse off.
