just picked up a sheet of 1/8"x8"x10' from fazzios for only $25, cool place ill definitely be back

 

It may have more "skid plates" but I bet they're no more affective than having no skid plates.

What are you doing with that? Yea Fazzios is great. Fasteners are way cheaper there than anywhere else I've seen too.

 

gonna plate the top of my trail gear front bumper, I originally only wanted like 4 or 5 feet but figured I could use the rest for other stuff so why not

 

They were beefy. Doesn't matter. The bottom was protected. Yet, nothing else worked properly.

 

I have an issue... my rotopax lock is seized and I just broke the key off inside... do I drill it out now?

 

is there an extension between the lock and the mount plate?

 

Yes. And I've heard that the rotopax mounts brake alot

 

Nope... its just a 4 gal tank on the... 1 unlocks the other is seized

 

How many foot pounds of torque did you use


I've had several issues with my lock but never broke a key. I gotta finess it sometimes with a few jiggles to lock/unlock. I don't love the design. I'd suggest getting the broken piece out, gum on a stick, tweezers, etc.. Didn't you get two keys? Drilling would be last resort.

 

I do have a second key at home... forgot about that.. i was just using my hand... and whatever strength don q puerto rican rum gives you...
