    Eventually I will make skids that are tighter for customers with exhaust re-route but for now I will offer these. The popular opinion is without reroute. More people prefer not to modify exhaust. I know the group in this thread doesn't because they wheel more. But the majority of the owners is more looks over function.

    I had more space between my diff and skid prior to bashing. I am sure it was you that told me you built your skids for diff drop equipped trucks. My skid definitely hangs loxer than others do.
    And I understand that you need to make products for the majority rather than the few semi-fanatics. I also have to learn to rock crwal instead of rock bash!
    Keep up the good work. Innovation is a true indicator of a quality company!

    Derp, you're right. Not sure where my mind is but yes, they're built to work with diff drop. Mine is smashed up to the diff too haha.

    @JLink oi Happy birthday, man.

    Yeah the PO hit a deer, which is why the bumper has that dent and is pushed up on the passenger side. But the misaligned bolts and turned hook are my doing :rolleyes:

    Oh I see. I don't know if there is already any frame rail damage from the PO's deer hit, but if there is it's certainly nothing like this. I'd like to to avoid this. Rear shackles it is, but I'll do my best to not get that stuck :p

    I did not locktite them, and I haven't correctly torqued them yet. I'm gonna do that on Wednesday or Thursday when I have some time. All those LBJ failure pics of the 1st gens always has me on edge. Though mine were replaced at some point with the recall, though I can't remember exactly when that was.

    Def do both, part of the LBJ failures were from the LBJ's failing and part from 1 or 2 bolts backing out and the other 2 shearing off completely. When we fixed my shit at Rausch, the first thing I did was retorque them with loctite when I got home.

    Anybody around this weekend to help me do my 3 rear driveshaft u-joints?

    Went wheeling last weekend and developed a bad driveline vibe around 30mph in 2wd and 4wd. almost feels like driving over a rumble strip. I have to assume its the 140k mile u-joints even though i cannot seem to get much play out of them when i get underneath the truck. carrier bearing seems ok, and while i thought it was maybe the front diff needle bearing from my understanding that would go away in 4wheel. If anyone has any ideas id greatly appreciate it, but since i have the three u-joints i might as well start there...

    Yes tube is unscarred. first thing i checked. sorry meant to put that in the original post. cleaned everything and cannot find anything visible broken also. truck drives fine everywhere else. just between 30 and 40 feels like I'm driving on the rumble strip on the side of the highway, then its gone.
