Where you gonna go?

I plan on linking up with TW members as I go. Meeting people wheeling beers and whatever else comes along

 

Dude honestly I'm just due for a much needed vacation. but they are the top three states I want to explore.

I also have family in Utah that I haven't seen in years

 

Haven't gotten that far in thinking yet. But Black bear pass and Telluride come to mind

 

I think im planning on 2 weeks

 

Remember: it takes at least 24 hours behind the wheel just to get out there.

 

Can we do an overland trip where we drive a little. Camp a little. Possibly fish a little. Wheel a little. Camp a little. Repeat.
Those long highway drives to get to somewhere can get a little tedious.

It's great if you can take the time to do it. I had 12 days off when I went back in June - left on a Friday @ 8pm & rolled into Denver at 2PM Sunday afternoon. Left Moab the following Sunday & got home Tues. night.
It all depends on what you want to do.

 

Sounds like fun, but I was advised by my lovely wife that my wheeling trips need to span at least 6 weeks between trips. Gotta take care of family stuff and a long list of home "to do's"

 

I am in a similar situation. Need to space out trips by at least 4 weeks. I'm OK with that.

 

I was thinking as local as possible. And long 3-4 day weekends. Long highway drives on my truck is not my idea of fun..

 

Totally understand Lloyd but we don't have shit like this local.

 

Yeah. I know. But maybe something less perfect but fun anyway?
I can drive highway for a reasonable distance, but NOT 24 hrs of driving one way. LOL.

I know of a few places in Pa. to "get away from it all" like pictured above. Even with some light wheeling involved... I think my next longer getaway will be to Tn. in March. I'll gladly hit Rausch in between though.

 

You guys should check out Hudson Valley in NY. Fish kill, haverstraw, etc. it's fn gorgeous there and it's only about 1:30 from central Nj
