"Clamshell" is the front. I don't believe they make an air locker for the OR rear. Probably wouldn't sell many considering they already come with a locker. I'm certainly not an expert on the subject though.

The OR rear is called an 8". The Sport rear is called an 8.4"

Get dyna beads and you won't have balancing problems anymore.

Read the DIY and buy whatever tools you don't have already. It's certainly a fair amount more work than the rear, but still DIY capable.

Or... install it with a couple Tw friends and have a good time and learn about your truck from guys that have already done it.

    Not that bad.

    Still warranty if you DIY

Not true. You just remove the cvs and the front diff.

I agree. I've only used mine a couple of times. It's kind of a last option if you're stuck.

Cool. Sorry if I mislead you. Like I said, I'm no expert. I remember someone saying that once. Never looked into it myself :anonymous:

    V6 4x4 TRD's came with 4.10's aka mine.

I keep flip flopping on the front locker. I am regearing anyway so I feel it would be dumb to not do it then. But at the same time it's an extra $800 for something that won't get used very often.

Though the general consensus is that getting the front locker makes the front diff stronger by eliminating the spider gears, right @stairgod? Which would have possibly prevented my front diff grenading.

ECGS lists the RD132 for e-locker rears in second gens though. So looks like there is an ARB option for ELD rears.
