    Working, unfortunately.

    Goddamn second gen'rs spreading bad info. To do a u-bolt flip on a first gen you need to move the shock mounts to the axles and put in a crossmember to mount the top of the shocks to. Some companies sell kits like BAMF where you can run inboarded shocks, or you can just get some mounts from ruff stuff and design it however you like.

    Also you can mount the bump to the plate or you can mount your bump to the frame, works either way.

    But like another member said, putting the axle on top of the leaves is SUA (spring under axle) which requires even more work and is mostly done on LT trucks. Typically it's a 12" shackle and requires special extra long deavers and require the front spring perch to be moved as well.
