c4, aod?

 

Shit I don't remember what model it was but it wasn't a standard Ford tranny. It had AOD. Guy I bought it from had his leg blown off in Nam and had the tranny replaced. Shit thats going to bug me now.

Had to shift from first into 2nd and then back into first to get it to lock second.

 

Ha, the AOD shuffle.. yep it was an AOD. that with 4.10's isn't that bad, that's what's in my girls car right now. I had 3.73's with a C4, 3 speed & a 3800 stall convertor.. that sucked on the street. Used to drive from toms river to philly area to street race, 45-50 the whole way ha

 

65 was my max cruising speed and that was pushing it.

110mph in 4th was at about 5700-5800 rpm.

I wish I owned it and all my other toys during the digital days. The only pics I have of it or my ninja or boats are on film LOL

 

I've got a ton of pictures on film that I ended up scanning to the pc.. funny.

 

One day Ill unpack the boxes of photo's I have. I only moved in 9 years ago

No way in hell I would spend more on floor mats to protect the carpet than you can buy the carpet for. Makes zero sense

Actually that's a lie....I had them many moons ago and sold them because they have holes in them and shallow depth allowing water to seep into the carpets. While my Huskys don't look as cool they perform better at keeping water/mud/sand off my carpet & last time someone said cool floor mats was never so I rock the ugly ones

 

If I had to do it again I wouldn't have gotten the weathertech digital-fit. It's basically a big tub so the water pools into a single puddle that sloshes around and takes days to dry out. My Toyota all weather matts were infinitely better. Ribbed sections kept the water separated into smaller areas, no sloshing, dried fast.
