Id be down for another trip, but I can't plan that far in advance so Ill have to let you know (probably the day before lol)
Thanks Sente! heres some better pics I took today that I posted in the 'what have you done' thread, I like where the tires are sitting, aren't super far out that they'll throw rocks everywhere but just enough to look pretty aggressive, never got a chance to trim the fenders today though.
(first pic is a before shot)

Yeah I really like the look. I'm just curious what kind of handling differences/long term effects smaller spacers like those have, if any.

doesnt feel crazy different handling wise, feels slightly more planted and turns are slightly wider (unless thats just my imagination) the only thing I worry about is them failing or loosening up

Yeah I figure it's not a great strain, but if I recall, it increases scrub radius which in turn puts more stress on wheel bearings and/or other parts. Now I can't imagine it's a great strain with smaller spacers like Lux has but still has me wondering.

Yeah those are pretty common observations it seems. And there have been loads of guys who have run spacers for years without seeing premature failure of parts. So maybe there is little reason to worry.

Yeah ball joints are always in the back of the mind. I'll be making checking them something I do from time to time.

Yeah I know that. I wasn't really concerned with comparing spacers on stock wheels to different wheels. I'm more concerned with the effect that the both of them have.

FWIW I ran 1.25 for 3 years so with no issues. I then ran 2" and had my rear wheel bearing go out not long after but I had no idea if it was due to the spacer or they were just due. They are the originals with 200k on them after all.

The poop water has claimed another today. Had about an inch and a half in the cab on the passenger side. Looks like I'm pulling the interior tonight

Hmm yeah hard to say if it were the 1.25" or the 2" that did them in. Even if they were weak with 1.25", they could have sustained far longer than they did once you switched to 2". But all the same, 3 years is a long time to run spacers and 200K is a lot of miles. I am at 178K miles and haven't even checked my bearings yet :anonymous:
I'm guessing 1.25" spacers have a fairly minor impact on wheel bearings overall.
