It is fixed, I just need to follow the break-in instructions. 87 of the 500 required break-in miles down so far.

Trail is the way to go if it's still daily driven. My Bosses Admin has these Nitto Muds on her jeep - same size I'm getting= 35x12.5x17
She hates the noise - also has not been maintaining them properly. Mad uneven wear. I was looking at them today when I was down at the Regional Office.

 

Not to mention that mid tires ate not necessarily the best on rocks, unless a very soft compound. My Swamoers were decent, but were soft as hell. Got 25k out of them.

 

My truck had Trail Grapps on it when I bought it. Hated them. No wet traction, sucked in snow. Not sure I would ever buy any tire from Nitto. But I am in love with my STMaxxs

 

That's odd Jon. I'm on my second set of Trails now and I absolutely love them. Surprisingly quiet for a tire with an aggressive tread pattern and the on-road & off road performance has been top-notch for me. Last years big snow storm I was romping around just for fun & they performed very well. I'm going with the mud-Terrain's only because it's not my DD and I've always wanted to try them. The woman with the jeep I mentioned earlier is part of the "wicked jeeps" club - she actually wheels the thing and had great things to say about them save for the noise.

 

Mine have aboyt 65k on them and still have tread left. Suoer hard compound. Maybe it is the size? 275/55R20. Harder comoound for mall pavement??

 

She told me she got 35K out of her last set. Tells me it's a softer tire. My 295 Terra's were still awesome after 30K - I sold them to another TW member.

 

My truck is more of a mall queen so my next set of tires are gonna be MTs

Weird....but pretty sure my tires date back to 2011. PO put them on and only drove 2598 miles in 30 months....

But I ended up with a pristine used truck.

 

Think he worked in the city and used Mass Transit to get to work and only drove on weekends. And maybe it was his second vehicle too.

 

Maybe a sled for snowy days.....
