Six mile run is really fun even on a hard tail. I believe that's near you

 

I have a full suspension but for the most part I lock the rear shock, it soaks up too much of the pedaling and burns me out quicker.

Allaire & Clayton have some nice trails and are close.

I ride 7 miles of the Barnegat branch trail every other day, it's flat but 7 miles in 24th gear is a great burn

 

Remember when bikes didn't have suspensions and boys grew up to be men.

 

Yes....that's one of the trails I hear of.... I'm only here in Somerset for 3 years...still alot of cool spots near me I haven't check out yet...

 

Is a locking rear suspension an expensive feature?
That's what I don't like of full suspension and locking it would give u the best of both worlds of mt bikes

 

Just about every full suspension bike will have a lockout on the rear shock these days.

 

or brakes.... my brake was my sneaker

I used to ride my bike to school uphill both ways, backwards in blizzards, every dam day.

 

Same here minus the hills, we don't have hills in this part of NJ.

 

I got hills. I live in the highest part of South NJ.

I'm looking at a turner sulton. Real expensive, but, I'm a pretty large person, most bikes don't come big enough
