Your angle looks very similar to mine. How much lift does the shackle give you?

Why? Now imagine if they were steel lol, but using a jack helps if you didn't do that.

If they were steel you'd def. need a jack. I used my legs to hold it in place. New Ryobi drill came in handy too..

Nice, that's the first thing I'd try with steel or aluminum lol. Don't feel like dragging the jack out. Had to for bolt-on sliders though

Those are on the way. I'll try them myself but will probably recruit some help. I installed them on my Xterra by myself when I had the flu but was also younger then.

I used my floor jack and a longer piece of wood inbetween jack and slider in order to distribute the weight and balance point. Once I got it balanced good enough it took a little finagling and fine adjustment to get the slider to line up with frame holes. Not too bad, but another person would help for sure.

Good call. Channel 631 on fios. I'm bed ridden for the rest of the night. I can't move my shoulders after installing those skids.

That too. But I need rotator cuff surgery and I'm too big of a pussy to get it.

Ohh gotcha. You can do the whole thing out of 1/4. I'd atleast use 1/4" for the main structure like where it bolts to the truck and the cradle for the winch. Then the rest can be 3/16" or tubing depending what style your going for.
