Indeed. Quite unlike most trail videos. Definitely a nice break. Makes me wish I had some easy trails like that near me.

Seems we've both got to move somewhere more interesting. I mean it's safe and things are nearby where I'm at, but there isn't much to do around here.

Yeah this is definitely true. There is a lot of variety in a relatively short distance. I can't complain about that, for sure.

So I still can't 100% make up my mind about suspension. I am torn between waiting and ultimately spending outside my budget for a good ride or buying sooner (though probably not soon) and spending more within my budget.

My original plan was to go full OME. It's a simple approach and it's not offputtingly expensive. But I can't shake the feeling that I'd have some disappointments with the ride, specifically on-road. So I was like ok I'll just save up longer and get something better. Figured why not splurge and get King front and rear + something like All-Pro Standards or something with a similar lift/ride. But that's an expensive route. I have to remember that lower income = less good stuff. With other expenses, both truck related and otherwise, going that route would be very far off for me to spend it and not seriously feel that purchase.

I guess I'm now thinking that I should lean more towards my original plan. Gotta accept that top shelf stuff is not really within reach for me. But the main area of concern with full OME is the Dakars. Seems pretty much a unanimous opinion that they are rough unless loaded. I don't carry that much weight, so I'm thinking maybe something else with a lower spring rate/softer ride.

Not sure where I'm going with this. Any thoughts/input at all are appreciated.

That's what I was thinking about doing, but it just seems like a waste of money. The end parts would run me enough as it is, and I would find it hard to justify buying cheaper stuff in the meantime. At that point, I'd feel like it's best to wait. Though it would certainly let me rid myself of these worn stock parts sooner, which is ideal. But a wrench in the works is that I really can't afford to get more than one part at a time, and even that I can't do right now. :bananadead:

You can always pull leaves out of the Dakar pack to tune it for your desired left and load capabilities.

It was nice to run into and meet ya Joe. Non of the trails were to difficult. Felt like I saw a good amount of the park. Was definitely fun to cover new ground. @Wheelspinner and I got fresh powder tracks in the morning and by the end of the day is was just melting runnoff everywhere. We go into a fun section of loose rock climbs at the end of the day.

Why is he not banned? @tcBob I'm sure you're aware but Mahalo shouldn't even be allowed on the site, much less trying to sell things

Yes and no, leaf packs are wear items and need to be replaced every couple of years anyway. You have a pretty heavy rear bumper hanging off the back of your truck and a spare tire there too. A decent amount of weight there. I don't think Dakars will ride as rough as you think. If you went the all pro expo route you definitely would have issues. As far as front shocks go, it's definitely worth it to do it once and do it right since those shocks can be rebuilt, but it's also tough waiting years to get a solid performing front end.

While Mahalo's actions were deplorable, I believe his actions were not malicious, but driven by greed. I am sure Bob is very aware of what happened, and obviously did not consider it a ban-able offense. Not saying that I would not give Mahalo a piece of my mind if we ever met. Even if I were not a non-viloent person, what he did does not warrant an ass beating.
