Someone skool me on what to do/get for inline filtration for my garage air compressor. Apparently, a plasma cutter needs clean, dry compressed air.

Just need a water filter/separator. Best bet is to wall mount it, put quick disconnects in it, that way it is easy to use with the plasma.

I would do a moisture and oil separator. Compressors are just like engines. And the oil definitely gets and gets sucked into the tank a little.

Riddle me this...if your truck is traveling at 40 mph, and you rub it up against a tree, does is cause a scratch?
And if your truck and the tree are both going 40 mph in the same direction, would there be a scratch then?
So if two fins on the same boot are touching, how the fuck do holes get rubbed in them??

You're right. It's never happened. Don't worry about it.

Your axles never last long enough to wear anyway! :boink:

Once again, if you're not worried about it, why do the boot slide?

If two cars are moving at 40 mph and they touch, is there no damage?

The pleats touch and separate, and touch and separate, over and over again. Of course they will wear to some degree.

Before I put the high angle boots on, you could see the wear. Would it ever go all the way thorough? Who knows. For $60 I now KNOW it won't.

    What are we arguing about?

Was I arguing with you? No. It was a general statement. I did the boot slide mod while I was in there replacing the torn boots.
I did it because everyone else does

If I had to guess, I'd say I need to update my account to enable 3rd party hosting. Whatever the FK THAT means

Total Noob move. You should get a T-shirt...

I'll put it like this. Installing axles without high angle boots is like adding a S/C without a UCON :D

I told you I got the UCON, right?
