hey guys, i got some rust starting to appear and i wanna neutralize it before it becomes a problem, right now it just seem like surface rust. I was leaning toward doing to full treatment with the POR-15 system. It's basically prep, brush on, and then a spray on top coat. Anyone got other ideas? Also, I'm seeing to me what looks like corrosion on the threads of my coilover. Any good way to clean it up, and anything I could spray to prevent it from happening again. My neighbor who messes with rice rockets told me to spray CLR on it and it should clean right up. I don't know if thats a good idea tho.

to me, everything in there looks clean af lol, i did some rust prevention last summer on my frame by sanding down all the rust, 2-3 coats of por15, 2 coats of high heat matte black spray paint, then grease on top (some people say it does nothing but its not hurting anything imo). As far as those threads, Ive used clr before on small parts, it'll probably clean it up if you scrub it with a rag but its no preventative. Don't really know what you'd use there..

If you are worried about rust use fluid film once a year.

here is a tire question. i have general at2 285/70/17. they are load range E. came mounted on the wheels i bought off tire rack at like 80 psi. I didn't know they were at 80psi, until my guys at up in philipsburg told me thats why my tpms light was on. They aired them down to about 36-38 i believe. The truck felt like a friggin tank while they were at 80. Just because they are e rated doesnt mean they should be aired up to 80, right?
